The Fox Point Hurricane Barrier was closed at 4:20AM to protect Providence from the storm surge from this storm. I don't remember the hurricane barrier being closed twice in one month....that may never have happened in its 50+years of existence.

Not trying to be an alarmist, but the astro tide, Saturday around Noon, is the biggest tide of the month. It's possible that the damage could be worse than today's. Pray that the storm's timing shifts between now and then.

@ericfisher Can we quantify the snow rates of puking, thumping and ripping snow? Seems like words often used with snow rates. Not by meteorologists……
