WOW! At 104 years old, Charles Johnson is competing in The Vegas Shoot for the fourth time! I love seeing our Elders continue to show us what’s possible. Capability certainly doesn’t fade with age! 🎥: thevegasshoot/IG

For young kids, movement is PART of development, mental and physical. It’s how they build coordination, balance, body control, confidence, and problem solving. It’s how they explore and learn how to use their bodies. This post isn’t about creating athletes, sports, or

2026 Sports in Kansas 3A Boys🏀 Player of the Year: Sebastian Hines-Turner, Wichita Collegiate Sebastian Hines-Turner led Wichita Collegiate to a 3A state championship, finishing a dominant 27-1 season as one of the most complete players in Kansas regardless of class. The senior averaged over 19 points, nearly 8 rebounds and 5 assists per game, impacting the game in every way while helping lead Collegiate alongside AJ Batiste and Kamari Jennings to one of the top seasons in the state. Their only loss came to 5A runner-up Kapaun. Hines-Turner delivered in the biggest moments, including a 33-point performance in the state championship win over Burlington. He was also dominant in the semifinals against Silver Lake, finishing with 22 points, 5 assists and 6 steals. All of it came just over a year after tearing his Achilles, making one of the most impressive comeback seasons in the state. He was also a Sports in Kansas Top 5 All-Classes selection. Collegiate captured its first state title in 10 years under first-year head coach Nate Schmitt, who was named the 2026 Sports in Kansas 3A Coach of the Year after taking over for legendary coach Mitch Fiegel. Fiegel, who won six state titles, was also honored at the event with the 2026 Sports in Kansas Legacy Award. Hines-Turner’s production, versatility and ability to deliver in big moments separated him as one of the top players in Kansas this season. #sportsinkansas

'Pistol Pete' Maravich sharing his testimony of faith in Jesus Christ in 1987 less than one year before his death at the age of 40: "I want all of you to know this tonight about Peter Maravich. You may never have heard of me. It makes no difference. I'm just one person on this earth saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. I want you to know this, that the change that came into my life was Jesus Christ. It was not winning. I won all my life. I won every trophy, award, everything you can think of, but every time I won something, I wanted something more. I had to win again. It wasn't money, because money'll buy you everything but happiness. It'll pay your fare at every place but Heaven. Material things—I've driven everything some of you strive for from Rolls Royces to BMWs to Mercedes to Porsches. It wasn't religion because in the name of religion, Jesus Christ was placed upon that cross. And the purest thing about Christianity is the fact that it's your choice. You can't work. You can't earn. I knew that, and I understood it now. I want you to know this. The last thing I'd like to say is this, next week I'll be inducted into the Hall of Fame. I'll get that big ring. In fact, it's a bigger ring than I would have got for the championship, but I'll tell you something about all the awards. They all pale to the glory of Christ and what He's done in my life. It's amazing what He has done in my life. I wouldn't trade my position in Christ for a thousand NBA championships or a thousand Hall of Fame rings or for a hundred billion dollars. There's nothing like the joy of Jesus Christ in your life."

10-80-10 Leadership Principle Ohio State head coach Ryan Day discusses the 10-80-10 principle with behavior and how he maximized his 10% elite players to lead the middle 80% to win a title in 2024. 10% are elite, 10% are defiant, and then the rest are the 80%. How are you using your leaders to build culture?
