Introducing LumenCode - A native @opencode client for Windows I've been daily driving it for a couple of weeks now and it's nice and smooth enough to show off. Written in pure C#/WPF - no electrons harmed in the process! See the following tweets for details. Teaser:

@khmyznikov I like the new implementation a lot. Are there also plans to let users disable Bing search in their Start menu?

openai is a zillion dollar company it has a trillion employees 15 million of them work on codex 14 million are designers they have access to infinte tokens they have access to infinite tools they have 12 meetings per day this is the best solution they came up with for recurring cron jobs in codex. new chats that clutter the sidebar. incredible.

@gmi_cloud I wonder if having vision will make a difference? Maybe try MiMo 2.5 (non-pro) as it is omnimodal

Unfortunately, all open source are terrible with spatial reasoning. We asked DeepSeek V4, Gemma 4, MiniMax M2.7, Kimi K2.6, Xiaomi MIMO v2.5 Pro, Qwen 3.6 Max, Hy3 Preview, GLM 5.1 to generate a soccer kicking animation. None of these models get the motion right.

TLDR: Theo cancelled his Claude Code sub after heavy testing. He breaks down Anthropic's June 15 change (dedicated monthly credits for programmatic usage, covering Agent SDK, Claude Code, etc.), shows pricing comparisons ($200/mo vs chat/API), diagrams his workflow, and live demos where it helped but ultimately didn't justify the cost/reliability for him anymore. He gives up on it as the best tool for his dev stack.

@SonofNun Thank you so much! We have very different approaches, but together we're going to make Windows dev great again

Looks like this means Jericode is screwed. I don’t know why they had to include ‘Claude -o’ in this change. Jericode does nothing but intercept Claude code’s output and display it to users, and forward user’s input back to it. It’s no different than a normal terminal session to Anthropic.

Starting June 15, paid Claude plans can claim a dedicated monthly credit for programmatic usage. The credit covers usage of: - Claude Agent SDK - claude -p - Claude Code GitHub Actions - Third-party apps built on the Agent SDK

Huuuuge thanks to @thdxr and @anomalyco team for making LumenCode possible by keeping OpenCode open and extensible. It has by far the best foundation for building clients on top of it. You guys are stellar 🤗

What works: - Plan and Build mode - familiar Shift + Tab shortcut - Switching models and thinking levels - Questions and responses - Visual Studio inspired Light and dark themes - Customizable bottom bar: connection status, context, compaction, current folder, cost, job status - Thinking, Tool call, and Code edit blocks are collapsible and can independently default to Full, Compact, or Off What's coming up: - Connecting to new providers (currently you need to do it from the official TUI or GUI - MCP setup - Undo/redo - Export, share and unshare Open source soon. Stay tuned!

@opencode I worked hard on error handling - the app displays accurate error messages with detailed tooltips on what exactly went wrong while connecting
