But you should absolutely understand how the pieces fit together. From syscall to pixels. Learn how data flows, because you’ll be able to secure your systems. Learn about performance, because you’ll be able to push your agent further. Learn about APIs, because they determine how to integrate systems. Learn about how systems fail, because you’ll be able to make reliable programs.

The solution is to narrow your focus on a few set of things that give you asymmetric output. Put your attention to where the leverage is. Meaning: Saying no more often, protecting your energy, and letting go of the pressure to do everything at once. When you simplify, you create enough mental space to actually heal instead of just survive.

Never quit. Success is a game of attrition. Whoever can stay in the game longest wins. If you're not seeing results, it's because of two things: 1) You're not focusing on the high-leverage tasks -- the 20% of the tasks that bring 80% of the results. Or 2) You haven't let the compound effect take place. You're impatient. Get those two right and you'll win.
