Today was the funeral of our 93 year-old neighbour’s wife. She was 92 and they’d been married for seventy years. Their only son died two years ago and there are no grandchildren.
We were the only people there. We walked in with him & he said weakly “there’s nobody here”.

The whole concept of an “insanity plea” is total nonsense. If someone is too delusional to understand that they aren’t supposed to randomly shoot people, that’s all the more reason to simply execute them. Society is not morally obligated to keep psychotic killers alive until they die of old age. It’s madness.

A Seattle man who shot and killed an eight-month pregnant Korean-American woman and nearly killed her husband when they were driving to work has been found not guilty by reason of insanity. Cordell Goosby m—rdered Elina Kwon and her unborn baby in June 2023 when they were stopped at a red light. Prosecutors did not charge him for killing the baby due to concerns about protecting abortion in the liberal state. After hearing testimony from defense medical experts that Goosby was "insane" at the time of the shootings, the prosecution agreed to have the case ended through the not guilty motion. Goosby will be committed to an institution and regularly evaluated to see if he is fit to be released to the public. ngocomment.com

Bucky McMillan's first season at Texas A&M doesn't end well with an 88-57 loss to Houston - except for this.
It ended in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, where no one expected the Aggies to be.
It ended with 22 wins overall, 11 in the SEC, and a tie for fourth place in the deepest league in the land after being picked in the preseason to finish 13th.
That's not an ending for @BuckyBasketball in Aggieland. It's only the beginning.
