Iran has again made rather erroneous claims that they used both Ghadr-380 and Talaiyeh anti-ship cruise missiles (ASCM) at a U.S. destroyer and refueling ship at a standoff range in the Indian Ocean. While it’s currently unlikely that this is true, we’re seeing a similar pattern in this conflict as we saw in the conflict with the Houthi’s—Iran/Houthis make claims of successful missile strikes and the news is either disregarded by the recipients of the strikes (U.S.) due to their erroneous nature, or reports of successful interceptions come soon after.
