Day 92 Sober 🙏 Some people looked at me — 6’3, 220 lbs, former athlete, decent looking — and thought I had it all. But inside I was a shy, anxious guy who was never comfortable in his own skin. Mental health doesn’t care how strong or put-together you look on the outside. Every single day I was drowning in my own head, faking it just to get by. Most nights I’d drink until I blacked out just so I didn’t have to sit with myself for one more minute. I used alcohol and drugs to escape the discomfort and quiet my mind. They never helped — they only made everything worse. They promised confidence but delivered chaos, shame… and an extra 35 lbs. I let myself go completely during the worst of it. This was me at my worst. Now sober, I’ve dropped all that weight in rehab through real work, real food, and hitting the YMCA 5x a week. I’m learning to sit with myself without chemical armor. It’s uncomfortable some days, but it’s real. If you look fine (or even “strong”) on the outside but feel broken inside — you’re not alone. Mental health is just as important as physical health. Please take the first step and keep going. #Sober #MentalHealth #FaithOverAddiction

@MaryoZimmerman I lost my mother at 38, she was 59. I know how awful it feels. Just remember you and a lot of things you know came from mom. Silly as it is, the way you hold your fork, mom taught. How you cook things etc. your mom is in you.

My mom just moved into her new 5bedroom house and told me to move in with her. Her exact words: “Spending $1800 on rent is ridiculous. Save your money and move in. I don’t want to be in this big house by myself. Idc what anybody says… I’M MOVING IN At 32, I’ll have my own room + bathroom, a dedicated office to work from, and my own living area upstairs. Having parents that still got your back after your 20s is a real flex.
