decided to launch on @producthunt 12 hours ago and here we are more importantly, for the next 48 hours, anyone - ANYONE - can sign up on riffle without going through our waitlist. eff with it and let us know what you think. and if you woke up feeling generous, support us here: producthunt.com/products/riffl…
riffle@riffledotstudio

soft launched our unfinished, imperfect playground on @ProductHunt 10 minutes after the deadline. feel free (read: compelled) to support: producthunt.com/products/riffl…

How does one build and deploy long running agents on @vercel? The 800-second function timeout doesn't seem to help.

Been thinking about how new 'operating systems' being built can impact productivity at firms using them. If a software models industry best-practices well enough, does it replace training by making employees adopt certain ways of working? From the Economist:

@rbkayz @supabase That's pretty clean! We only use direct Supabase requests for client side auth so used a Next.js server route to proxy. That adds a bit of latency though, so will try this. Curious why you still need to proxy if you use a custom domain?

If you’re using JioFiber in India you may need to use a VPN to connect to Supabase, or switch your DNS to 1.1.1.1. Supabase infrastructure remains fully operational - the issue appears to be an ISP-level block. We have reached out to Jio.

@BadCapitalVC What do you think is common between deployments for a tool like this, and what would need to be more services driven/custom? Does it basically just look like productivity software?

Exactly this, the intent-execution gap is massive. Government workflows are fragmented across departments - the engineer can't approve budgets, the budget office doesn't control contractors, everyone owns a piece, but no one owns the outcome. Orchestration AI could coordinate across these scattered responsibilities without needing to restructure the whole system.
Jay Vaidya@jayvaidya_

Attended a meeting at the BMC office yesterday regarding the concretisation of a road near where I live. My takeaway is that government employees mostly want to improve service delivery for citizens, but execution suffers due to badly designed org structures that diffuse responsibility, and poorly planned workflows. This is why I'm bullish on @BadCapitalVC's orchestration AI thesis. India's real skill gap is large scale coordination, not effort or intent.

This same problem exists in sales, which is why at @HotlinesAI we're building coordination management directly into the product. Our agents engage leads instantly, qualify through conversation, then generate assigned, time-bound tasks for the human team with full context. No coordination gap.

@maitreya_wagh Nice would love to see it! My friend group uses a pre-vibe coded version of this based on Google sheets and the CricInfo apis.

Late to the party but Claude Code is scary good. In 1.5 hours, vibecoded a 5-10 player game to create teams from a simulated auction of cricketers in any ongoing tournament (T20 World Cup for now). Points rewarded basis live match performance, best team wins.

@avaid96 @Bill_Gross That's pretty cool, hadn't heard of them. The internet is full of great free/open content, so I don't see their model working perfectly. Where would Wikipedia rank for example? It's objectively a high quality link, but I can't see them paying for placement.

re: the entire ads/no ads debate, it's interesting to look at an early Google Search competitor. back in 1988, goto.com (later Overture), by @Bill_Gross argued that a model where all search results were paid was superior to organic search primarily because it used market forces to ensure relevance and eliminate "spam." In simple words, the best business consumers prefer will be the one that wins bids for clicks. back in 2001 this even resulted in them making ~3x Google's revenue. there is an argument to be made that goto.com failed more because of errors in distribution v/s worse search relevance. having grown up well past the dominance of primary organic search, it's hard to imagine a fully paid promotion platform. I'm curious to hear from anyone that used goto.com back then how the search quality was?

Long believed that every document, every broadcast, every website, every newspaper should by default be machine translated into whatever language the user wants. Would solve the "structural problem" LKY identified in reaching a billion Indians simultaneously.

Buyers: “I'm interested.” Presales: “Great! Fill out this form and wait...” We’re fixing this today. Introducing hotlines.ai - AI agent pages to automate presales.
hotlines.ai@HotlinesAI

Today we launch hotlines.ai - AI agent pages to automate presales. We replace basic inquiry forms with AI agents that qualify buyers and book meetings. Customers see 20% lower cost per lead, and 1 in 5 meetings booked automatically.
