On behalf of the Ministry of Health, the Director General Health Services, @olaro_charles received a donation of 25,000 & 16,200 pairs of Reading Glasses from Evidence Action and Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) respectively. They will be distributed through health facilities in Bukedi and Busoga sub-regions. These assistive devices will directly benefit persons with disabilities, particularly the middle aged people(40+ years) with presbyopia or those that experience some level of near vision loss. They will enhance the ability to read, write, or engagement in daily tasks like sewing, cooking, or counting money thus positively impacting on the independence and productivity in daily activities for the beneficiaries. This support comes at a crucial time as we strengthen our rehabilitation and assistive technology services to ensure inclusivity and improved quality of life for all Ugandans. #MOHatWork
