After weeks of Senate Republicans holding TSA and FEMA funding hostage, they finally backed down and voted with Democrats to fully fund our airports and emergency relief without another check for Stephen Miller’s goon squad. We’ll keep fighting for reforms to keep our communities safe.

Just leaving the Capitol now at 3am as I wanted to be on the Senate floor through final passage of the vote to end the shutdown. As we promised, there was no funding for ICE without the reforms Americans demand. TSA at our airports funded; zero for ICE.

While you were sleeping, the Senate unanimously passed what Democrats pushed for over a month: fund TSA and other essential agencies but withhold funding for ICE until there’s substantial reform. Republicans made America suffer for nothing.

@JaredRyanSears For low income individuals you can get fee waivers for most documents. It is on a state by state basis. For SS cards replacements are free. Passports have a fee waiver. I wouldn't be against the first passport free with renewals or replacements requiring fees.

Democrats should introduce a bill that requires the federal government to provide every citizen a photo ID for free every 5 years. If Republicans truly want to enact voter ID laws, they will support this.

There's basically no difference between this and the exact same kinds of "dumb spring breaker" videos you'd see 10 years ago or 20 years ago or 30 years ago. I actually don't mind the fact that a bunch of 18 and 19 year old kids are totally ignorant about world affairs. That's healthier than obsessively doomscrolling alone in your basement or whatever. The problem is that these kids can vote. We should all just agree that 19 year olds are stupid and don't know anything, and that's basically fine, but it's also why they shouldn't be able to vote. Raise the voting age to 25.

I know it’s impossible to get a ticket but why can’t teams charge for food or drinks like the Masters does? One of the most historical events ever charging $8.00 for beer and a chicken sandwich at most when a team 45 games under .500 charging you $54. Make it make sense. Make going to a sporting event affordable
