@NicolasDVillar1 Good stuff and speaks to the misdirected fear of peak oil 20 yrs ago and the tech innovations for extraction
English

@JonesandKeefe @Keefe21 Exactly it a joke and now folks acting like he had a calf strain when the official report is his knee and day to day. Ridiculous from JT and his personal team.
English

Jayson Tatum missing Game 7 and then claiming he would have played in the next round is a HORRIBLE look - @Keefe21
English

@FoxworthShow @bomani_jones Not at all fair to Montana who with Bill Walsh revolutionized offense and the role of the QB. Bridge is to Brady who I’m are also sucks according to you. Lol.
English

"If Shai Gilgeous-Alexander somehow gets 2-3 rings, we're going to talk about him like we talked about Joe Montana....There has never been a single, solitary moment that I have watched him and thought I was watching one of the greatest players of all-time." – @bomani_jones 👀👀

@as_a_worker Very true but even by early 2010s it was what it is now already. The window was the late 90s

The transition of Williamsburg into what it is today marks the end of an era that will not come back (deindustrialization, financial crisis, disinvestment) and the sooner we all accept that the better off we are. This city cannot be cheap anymore, its whole political economy militates against cheapness
doomer@uncledoomer
this is why nobody should move to new york in 2026. you are not going to have a wholesome chungus 2010s hipster loft bodega warehouse party experience. no, you are going to drink coffee from starbucks and buy groceries from whole foods in between either selling or buying b2b SAAS

John Henry spoke on the Red Sox slow start to 2026 and the “sell the team”chants at Fenway, via email with @SBJ:
“Fans get frustrated…. The Sox looked terrible for (their) first 25 games. I remember a plane flying overhead when we (Liverpool) were beating Manchester United 7-0 that read ‘FSG OUT!’… It doesn’t mean you ignore them, it means you work harder – you don’t settle for mediocrity. You have to win."

English

@NickCRadio Official report is it was Tatum’s knee on healthy leg not a calf strain. In addition, JT himself said he would have been available TONIGHT against the Knicks. That’s ridiculous. If he needed to go on ice to protect himself, just SAY IT! this team is a joke.
English

Some C's Thoughts:
- Criticizing Tatum for sitting out Game 7 is patently absurd
- I love Derrick White, but he's not untouchable
- I love JB, but he's not untouchable
- They need a top-level creating PG who can make a shot
- They need to address the '5'
- Sam Hauser HAS to be dealt this offseason
- Wouldn't hate adding another vet coach on the bench
- If you can move up in this draft, you should do it
- Add a vet with piss & vinegar at the 4/5 (IE, Portis)
English

@TaylorTwellman Imagine Messi saying that after losing in extra time in 2014 WC! LOL
English

@Cerrone_Battle He’s totally correct and could be even more critical, just NOT after losing to the team in a home game 7 over which JB had the control to dictate the outcome but went 12-27🤦🏽♂️
English

I mean he isn't lying because Embiid fell about 28 times. BUT the NBA isn't going to change it because that would hurt the product even more. Imagine how many players would instantly suck if they called it straight up. Many great players would lose their ability immediately.

"Flopping has ruined our league. Joel Embiid is one of the greatest players that has played basketball, but he flops. He knows it too" - Jaylen Brown (h/t @rileysbetter )
English

@KeithlovesCelts @bigjimmurray I’ve never asked for any of that access to players. Lol
English

@jbfunk @bigjimmurray 1st y'all wanted the players to give y'all more access to them and be open and honest about the game and their feelings. They do and now y'all don't like it. Make up your minds. What do y'all want?
English

@Cerrone_Battle @ChristianArcand Watching millionaires who will eventually become billionaires make excuses about losing to inferior competition. Meanwhile JB not wrong about refereeing just utterly the wrong time to be making a case. Tone. Deaf. Arrogant. And it’s no longer a question of maturity. Sad.
English

@ChristianArcand Unfortunately this is the way of the world now. Younger generation like my son's watch this stuff more than ESPN. Matter fact they don't watch any network shows at all.
English

@BillSimmons lol Cs have no legit 5s. Whose responsibility is the roster? Oh yea the exec of the year, Brad Stevens…
English

@JordanPushedOff @Sporadi10387103 @NoaDalzell Cs coulda been in the Finals as kids in 2018 but blew the lead with 1:10 left in 4Q of home game 7 man. Cs blew 2-1 lead at home in 22, then went down 3-0 to crap Miami team the nest year before losing in ANOTHER home G7. It's a pattern. Don't know what to tell you man. ✌️
English

@jbfunk @Sporadi10387103 @NoaDalzell I think I just objected to the "vastly inferior" contention.
Celtics did great to take 3 games and push Game 7 to that point, no doubt.
English

Asked Jayson Tatum if — given how everything panned out — he still felt certain that he made the right decision to return this season after so much back and forth:
“100%. I'm very happy that I came back to be a part of this team, got back to doing what I love, to help give us a chance to compete for a championship, to prove to myself that I can get back to being the guy who I was, and hopefully better. And just to kind of defy what this injury means — not necessarily from a standpoint of, ‘I'm great look at what I was able to accomplish,‘ but to give other guys hope.
Obviously I don't want anybody to have to go through tearing their Achilles, but in the unfortunate event that it does happen, that I can be sort of inspirational — if you attack rehab a certain way if you follow these guidelines, or do it a certain way, that it's not like a career-ending injury, that you can come back, that you can be yourself, that you can be better, that it won't take 18 months, that you can come back, whenever is right for you.
So I'm happy and proud of the fact that I was able to do that, and unfortunately, if somebody else has to deal with this, they can look at what I was able to do and and have some hope and inspiration that it's not what people used to think it was. And, you can come back from this, and be who you were and hopefully be better.“
English

@JordanPushedOff @Sporadi10387103 @NoaDalzell and Jaylen had one of his best games as a pro in game 6 on road in Cleveland when he carried the Cs offense to even get to a game 7! C'mon man!!! JFC!!! Do people even WATCH THE GAME anymore?!?!? LOL
English

@jbfunk @Sporadi10387103 @NoaDalzell Celtics with Hayward and Kyrie injured (and Tatum not old enough to legally drink yet) were vastly superior to Cleveland with LeBron, Love, Tristan, Hill, Korver, etc?
