The cost of a legal review dropped 99%. Medical second opinions, translation, code, design, all collapsing toward free. When the scarce resource was expertise, you needed redistribution. When expertise is abundant, you need access. Different problem. Different solution.

Artificial intelligence won’t take away all the jobs - quite the opposite. After all, the manufacture of new professions and roles has itself been historically subject to a limits of a production function. As input costs collapse, job types can explode: we shall be awash in work.

when i tell ppl in the business world that i have an alter ego w a following on tik tok and a growing one on X that provides me w access and options, it's met w silence. the better play is to just take what i learn from everyone on these places, back channel w them, shut my mouth about it, and act like my insights and connections are pulled out of a hat

Scientists transferred a longevity gene from naked mole rats (which live 30+ years) into mice—and the mice lived longer and healthier. We're literally copy-pasting biological code from one mammal to another like software updates. If this scales to humans, your next medical appointment might include a firmware upgrade.

founder friend just got scammed from Anthropic secondaries apparently on the call they claimed "direct access to the cap table" so my friend pretty quickly wired $500k didn't check the fine print they now own 5% of "Ant Tropic", a luxury vacation destination for ants i told them they need to immediately pivot the business to AI because there are 20 quadrillion ants on earth, and the TAM is huge

67% of planned US data centers are now in rural areas, versus 13% today. 39% are in counties with zero existing data centers. This is perhaps the biggest geographic wealth transfer since fracking.

@lawheroezV2 Legal innovation from outsourcing to AI almost always makes the practice more pleasant. But it’s still grueling.

Spoke to head of AI at Am20 law firm and their partners are saying that they’re loving practicing law again as legal AI does the shit they never wanted to do and have more time to do the work they’ve always enjoyed. High emotional impact by legal AI.

I'll make it easy for Warren. Nintendo is the Disney of the modern age. Its franchise characters have captivated youth for decades and will continue to do so for decades to come (see the $1B Mario movies with Zelda coming soon). Tiny enterprise value relative to intrinsic. Boatloads of cash.
tae kim@firstadopter

Nintendo is trading at a fraction of the Activision Blizzard and Electronic Arts takeout deals, even though its intrinsic value is obviously multiples higher than that of those two U.S. publishers to any sane fundamental investor. If Charlie Munger were still alive, he'd be eyeing Nintendo. Nintendo EV: "At $35b, it is at 50% discount to Activision deal by Microsoft. And also a 30% discount to EA privatisation deal."
