NEWS: MeidasTouch host and legal analyst Katie Phang has filed a federal lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice, accusing it of “brazen” violations of the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The suit says the DOJ missed deadlines, over-redacted documents, and withheld key records tied to Jeffrey Epstein—including references to Donald Trump. Phang is asking the court to order full disclosure, remove unlawful redactions, and appoint a special master to oversee compliance—arguing the DOJ’s actions undermine transparency and the public’s right to know.

So if we have to build a White House ballroom because it’s no longer safe for Trump to appear at hotels, then why is he still going to his resorts, when one of the attempts was at his resort?

Carter chose diplomacy where others chose firepower. His defining moment came at Camp David in 1978 - locking Egyptian and Israeli leaders in 13 days of brutal negotiation, emerging with a peace agreement that ended 30 years of war. His presidency faced the Iran hostage crisis, oil shocks and economic turmoil - crises that would have given any leader justification for military escalation. He held the line anyway. He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002. He died in 2024 at 100 years old. The man who never bombed anyone outlived almost every critic who called him weak.

trump just quietly wiped out the National Science Board. Not a few seats. The whole board. Fired by email. Zero explanation. They oversee the National Science Foundation, the essential pipeline for billions in US research. In case you don’t know what they actually do. They- Set priorities. Help decide what gets funded. Make sure it’s based on science and not politics. That funding helped drive- MRI tech. GPS. The internet. Medical breakthroughs. These seats are staggered so no one president can flip the direction overnight. That guardrail is now gone. Now it comes down to who replaces them and whether science stays independent or gets even more political. We won’t feel this tomorrow. We’ll feel it when the next breakthrough never shows up.

We cannot have sustainable energy because it threatens the oil industry. We cannot have healthcare because it threatens insurance. We cannot have peace because it threatens the weapons industry. Capitalism built a system where doing the right thing is treated like bad business.
