@zachmelloh26 OK, so Mark lived his life to the fullest and didn't tie up all his money in retirement accounts.

@BreezeAirways Here is a sugestion for your website - have a link in all caps that says FLIGHT MAP and have it be static, not interactive, so I can see all the flights.

WOW. Did anyone else just hear what I heard? Essentially: no large scale Tesla Robotaxi rollout until early next year, when v15 comes out. Musk: “We know of major architectural improvements that would improve safety significantly. It wouldn‘t make sense to deploy robotaxi at scale if we know that there are software improvements in the pipeline that improve safety.“
While I get it, and it makes sense, and this does NOT mean that the currently deployed RTs aren’t safe, this is still somewhat disappointing to hear.

@mrfundman If Tesla is not a car company then why do they make all there money selling cars
English

@Jason @aelluswamy @wholemars can you give me the quick math that shows how this 'experiment' turns into a profitable business with scale?

Public taking robotaxi rides in Dallas.
Innovating@InnovatingCoin
My friend just shared his first unsupervised Robotaxi ride in Dallas, TX!
English

@InnovatingCoin its such a waste - show me the model that gets Tesla robotaxi's make enough $ to justify TSLA valuation - how many cars, how much overhead - it will never pay off

📹 VIDÉO - #Insolite : Pendant la coupe des griffes, une marmotte semble avoir déjà accepté son destin… tandis que l’autre panique à chaque coup de coupe. Une scène aussi drôle que totalement théâtrale.

@Cyber_Trailer If I didn't have to work, I would just ski and fish - and cook awesome dinners - and work out, perhaps play some golf. Not a problem.

Obviously there’s a great debate to be had about how to transition the economy during one of the greatest technological disruptions in human history.
Starting off the conversation by mentioning how much you hate someone that you spend all of your time trying to villify is the least smart way to begin the conversation.
Autonomy is being onboarded.
Even if you want America to take a backseat to China, then it will just come completely at our expense.
This is a conversation for groups of people between the ages of 18 and 35 to do some very deep thinking about how autonomy works in the next generation economy.
Bernie said he’s worried about how much he will get paid. Not my top concern.

Remember that one time that someone at Park City Mountain Resort forgot to renew the ground lease and Vail Resorts swooped in and took the resort over.
One of the most epic lease renewal miss stories I have ever heard of.
Matthew Prince 🌥@eastdakota
Vail Resorts ($MTN) likely to open tomorrow down to where if you invested 10 years ago you’d have done as well putting your money in a hole. It’s time for a change to become more asset-light, sell off resorts, and allow character and differentiation to return to skiing.

@Mcytz @Math_files He figured out the mass of the earth, not the weight. Weight has no meaning when talking about the earth. How would you weigh the earth? Put it in a scale?
English

@Math_files Wild that this guy figured out the weight of an entire planet with some wire and lead balls in a shed, yet I still can't get my bathroom scale to give me the same reading twice.
English

In 1798, a scientist effectively “weighed” the Earth — without leaving his laboratory.
The English scientist Henry Cavendish designed an incredibly sensitive experiment.
Inside a quiet wooden shed, he hung a horizontal rod from a very thin wire. Two small lead spheres were attached to the ends of the rod.
Nearby, he placed two much larger lead balls.
Because of gravity, the large spheres slightly pulled the smaller ones. The force was extremely tiny — so small that the rod twisted by only a minute fraction of a degree.
Yet that tiny twist held a big secret.
By carefully measuring this small movement, Cavendish determined the strength of the gravitational attraction between objects.
From this, scientists could calculate the mass of the entire Earth.
His estimate was remarkably close.
Cavendish calculated Earth’s mass to be about 6 × 10²⁴ kilograms, while modern measurements give 5.97 × 10²⁴ kilograms.
Sometimes the biggest discoveries come from measuring the smallest forces.

@DamonZumbroegel Looks like a fun place. I hope to have something like that some day. In the meantime, I drive a Tesla - lol...

I’m in a very remote part of the Sierras, off the beaten path let’s say, and the small cabin I am in has a mile long driveway…….with 3+ feet of snow on it! No snowblower, and no plow, but I do have access to this tricked out Toyota truck. Let some air out of the big fat tires, put it in extreme 4WD Low, and smoosh the snow. Never done that before, but it seems to be working. I am sure as hell not going to shovel the whole dang driveway to get my car out! (I sure hope I don’t anyway!)
