@Footballtweet I mean, we'll casually ignore the Scottish League stuff... because beating Bayern and Real Madrid as a huge underdog en route to a European title doesn't matter here.
English

@Djoko_UTD Rogervat 38: Outplayed (but lost 👀) this Novak geezer in his prime.
Why you ignore that one?
English

@Nerd_Sesh Pal, you're rattled. He called you out for a shitty statement. Get over it.
English

@JTmcfc3 @Zonal_Marking Got battered 5-0 in that 2nd one. You don't like context, it's fine.
We both agree Stones was out of position and hurt the dominance City should have had though right?
English

@jckmlt @Zonal_Marking A pisspot win against a side who got to 2 finals in 3 seasons? Stop talking shite
English

It actually didn’t work particularly well - he showed some lovely touches in deeper positions but kept miscontrolling the ball and (understandably) didn’t really know how to receive forward passes when unmarked, and lots of passing moves broke down as a result.

John Stones on his role vs Inter: “I played No.8, I’d not played it before. Don't think I'll ever get over this.
English

@JTmcfc3 @Zonal_Marking Stones being bizarrely out of position is a big reason why it was a struggle.
Should have been a pisspot win.
English

@jckmlt @Zonal_Marking What has that got to do with anything stones wasnt playing on his own was he
English

@JTmcfc3 @Zonal_Marking City barely won 1-0… do you think dressed in PSG shirts last year or something?
English

@MUFC_BF18 @Ankaman616 Just rock up to Vegas and buy them on the day as they plummet… worked a charm last year.
English

@Ankaman616 What’s your thoughts on their astronomical ticket prices? A single ticket now is the same cost of what you could take a family for just a few years ago…

If Jude Bellingham is left out of the starting line-up in the USA, Mexico and Canada this summer, it will go down as the greatest act of self-sabotage in England’s World Cup history. Column here: dailymail.co.uk/sport/football…

@henrywinter What’s with the negativity? Thought you lot had moved on from the 90’s

Mood amongst some England fans is that Ben White didn’t deserve a recall after his self-imposed exile. “Mostly (the mood is) that he shouldn’t be in the squad. He’s made his bed…” says one top-capper.

@maruf52824981 @NeilA1878 I mean, of all the players to go for, Fofana is harsh. The potential there was genuinely huge - just injuries. But he came to them straight off an injury at Leicester too, so… 👀
But yes, he’s had the biggest price drop due to that.
English

@NeilA1878 It's shocking how overpriced the players are except Sanchez & Palmer. I will be shocked if anyone are willing to pay more than 25 on Fofana
English

@craftbeersoflre @KarlBrophy Does it matter. History is proven by results. England step up at World Cups… Ireland disappear.
English

@jckmlt @KarlBrophy Clearly no understanding of the draw

Owen Farrell becomes Irish qualified in October.
A full year before the World Cup.
He’s hardly going to go back and play for England when he’s so close to being able to play for Ireland.
Telegraph Rugby@TelegraphRugby
With the World Cup on the horizon and England struggling, the question of whether Owen Farrell should be recalled cannot be ignored @GavinMairs looks at why England need the fly-half back below ⬇️ telegraph.co.uk/rugby-union/20… #GuinnessM6N

Expenses are $195-202M per year. TV rights last year for U.S. alone were $180M. Add in PPV at $32-35M. Add in intl media rights. So if they sold zero tickets and zero merch and had zero sponsors, they would be quite profitable. While they had some bad houses, they also had two houses near $3 million and several others of more than $1 million, some huge merch numbers especially for All In. But I'm sure you'll find a way to deny the obvious.
Craig@CMFo23
@davemeltzerWON Prove it You say they are profitable but no one had seen proof

This wasn’t even a stat until Messi scored his first knockout goal at the 2022 World Cup.
Guess what, three of them were penalties.
ESPN FC@ESPNFC
A stat that’s hard to believe 🤯 Despite scoring 965 career goals in 1,309 games, Cristiano Ronaldo has never scored a knockout stage goal at the FIFA World Cup 😦
English

@NoushardMUFC @paulwhite800 17 teams have won Englands top league since a 4th team won Portugals.
self-cooked yourself here too.

Carrick vs Amorim – reality check.
Rúben Amorim
• 320 games managed
• 65% career win rate
• 2 League titles (ended Sporting’s 19-year drought)
• 5 major trophies
• Built a clear 3-4-3 identity
• Over 230 games building Sporting into champions
Michael Carrick
• 150 games managed
• 48% win rate
• 0 trophies
• Biggest achievement: a decent Championship spell at Middlesbrough
• Now being hyped off a small caretaker bounce
So let’s be serious for a second.
One manager rebuilt a historic club and won titles.
The other is being crowned because the players look happier for a few weeks.
United fans shouting “CarrickBall” after 5 good games is exactly why standards at this club collapsed.
Trophies vs vibes.
Proven builder vs temporary comfort.
But sure… tell me again how Carrick is the genius. 🍿
Just because Amorim didnt succeed at United doesnt mean he’s not a good manager . Many managers have come here and failed terribly
Also Carrick is building his career. He’s not bad either
SportsDeeva@Blesing_Andrew
🔴Do any Reds actually think Ruben Amorim was a better manager than Michael Carrick? Where do you stand on this?
English

@NoushardMUFC @de_thanibawuro @Blesing_Andrew So why are you hugely defending Amorim?
-
self-cooked yourself.
English

@de_thanibawuro @Blesing_Andrew I did
Any manager who came here and didn’t win the premier league or UcL definitely failed
English

@WeAreTheOverlap Ronaldo >> Salah
It’s not even a debate.
Also Ronaldo in Salah’s era scores way more goals, given the fouls that weren’t given when Ronaldo was playing. Much easier to score goals in this generation
English

@_ryan1925 No one said that about Alcaraz. Anyone with sense would have told you he was probably the fastest complete player in history before he was 20.
English

@AllDAYZ77 Cody 3-0 Drew in the 3 Stages of Hell Match.
That’s right, 3-0 to amplify tbe burial lime when he killed Seth for years beating him with one arm.
