John Holecek, the winningest head football coach in @LoyolaAcademy history, is returning to the program he built as the new head coach. In his legendary run with the Ramblers (2006 to 2022), Holecek amassed a 185-35 record, winning 3 state titles and 9 CCL championships. (1/3)

I had a great time covering the Big East Tournament for @BigEastEnergy. Four original Big East teams playing on Friday was great for college basketball. I hope fans realize how special this league is. It's the last surviving regional basketball league. History, rivalries, and culture still matter here. Football destroyed it everywhere else. We must protect the Big East.

Clark’s gym is one of the smallest in the city. It is on the second floor. Great windows overlooking 290. The four hoops on the sidelines are all hanging over the court. The fans in the front row are almost on the court, not as bad as Lincoln Park or Morgan Park.

@KenyonCollegian Neither issue relates to intercollegiate athletics, which occupies much if not most of the AD's responsibilities - issues such as supervising, hiring, and firing coaches.

The @KenyonCollegian's account noted"issues that the department has faced over the past couple of years . . .the College’s decision to halt the KenyonFit program and discussions over the Lowry Center dress code."

The @KenyonCollegian echoes the College's claim today that former AD Jill McCartney left in July, but not that she "resigned," referring instead to her "departure." McCartney's name disappeared from the athletics website in early June kenyoncollegian.com/news/2025/12/j…

Fri before Labor Day the athletic department announced the appointment of interim AD w/out reference to McCartney. On 9/18 @KenyonCollegian published an unsourced statement that McCartney "left the College" w/out details date/circumstances of her departure.

Today's announcement claims that McCartney "resigned" in "July," despite her name having disappeared from the athletic department website in early June and the absence of any announcement by the College of any resignation.

Former AD Jill McCartney's name disappeared from the athletic department website in early June without any announcement from the College. This announcement contains the 1st reference to McCartney by the College since her name disappeared.
