Growing up, whenever I crossed a line and my mother decided I deserved a savage beating, she would snap, "ngizakutshaya uzuthi baba usitsho enjeni." Literally: "I'll beat you until you look to the dog with a smile, lick his face, and call him 'father'." My mother has always been a nice person. I’m not. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

A SPECTACULAR FALL FROM GRACE… Advocate Thabani Mpofu, I have for SO LONG observed the many POSTS which you have made, often castigating and scandalizing the RULING PARTY. I have DELIBERATELY withheld myself from responding out of RESPECT for your once DISTINGUISHED standing as an Advocate. With the greatest respect Counsel, you are now taking it TOO FAR. To publicly allege that I control ZANU PF is totally ABSURD and only shows how deep the FRUSTRATIONS of being left in the COLD by Chamisa have totally BLURRED your PROFESSIONAL judgment. For the avoidance of any DOUBT, I do not control or WISH to control the RULING PARTY in any manner whatsoever !!! I am a businessman, and that’s where my interest and ambitions are. I am simply an UNAPOLOGETIC, very loyal and ordinary CARD-CARYING member of ZANU PF. I run my BUSINESSES, I support my FAMILY and I contribute, where I can, to the socio-economic DEVELOPMENT of this country. Contrary to your sensational, yet half-witted claims, ZANU PF is controlled under ONE CENTRE OF POWER, led by His Excellency, President E.D. Mnangagwa 🐊🐊🐊🦁. It is a party that has well-established and fully fledged STRUCTURES led by the PRESIDIUM, the POLITBURO and the CENTRAL COMMITTEE, among others, but all of which I do not sit or participate in. Haasi MAHUMBWE eku CCC kunonzi bereka mwana tiende 🤣🤣🤣 . What is particularly DISAPPOINTING Counsel, is that these assertions are now coming from someone who was RECOGNISED WORLD OVER and once regarded as one of the most ADMIRABLE and TALENTED Advocates in Zimbabwe. In the past, I PERSONALLY engaged you to represent me on several matters, and your BRILLIANCE and command of the law were SECOND TO NONE. It is therefore profoundly DISCONCERTING to see how your SPECTECULAR FALL from the WEAK ECHELONS of opposition politics has left you PROFESSIONALLY DESTITUTE and having to resort to smear campaigns after realizing that your useless opposition “LEADER” deserted and abandoned you when you least expected it and when you wanted him the MOST. It is also sad how the TOXICITY of opposition politics has left you being a PALE IMAGE of your former glory…My humbe advice to you is that please try focus on the “FULCRUM” and “PITH” of your legal practice and refrain from dragging my precious name or smearing my good standing as a MEMBER of the REVOLUTIONARY MASS PARTY, ZANU PF ✊🏽. HAMUNA ZERA ne politics Gweta. What you must simply accept is that UNLIKE the CCC which has changed its FORM and CHARACTER as many times as it has FAILED its own followers, ZANU PF is anchored on the IDEOLOGIES of the liberation struggle. It is guided by UNITY of purpose and an irreversible ASPIRATION to deliver an UPPER MIDDLE-INCOME ECONOMY under VISION 2030. You are better off attending to the very few briefs left still coming to your CHAMBERS, than making BASELESS and NONSENSICAL claims against me, which takes away everything from the LITTLE that is left of your integrity. BE GUIDED ACCORDINGLY !!!

He has no moral compass to teach us how democracy works. While our fathers and mothers were fighting for a just Zimbabwe, Coltart was serving as a Rhodesian police officer, working to uphold white capitalism at the expense of the black majority. We won our independence, and yet to this day he still wants to lecture us about governance. 😭😭😭

20 April, 2026. In the City of Kings and Queens #Bulawayo @CityofBulawayo #Skies How was your day? Ours was pretty chilled. Had a few runnings to fulfill including a visit to a Mukuru outlet, took time to do a bit of shopping at the iconic Edgars Zimbabwe Needed some extra shorts , tees and jeans. I was impressed by the quality of rig in there as well as the air-conditioned environment. There are two Edgars stores located about diagonally opposite each other on 8th Avenue and both were pretty busy. I observed the store is still offering credit facilities, pay cash and the marked price is reduced by 16% . Fair enough, I say. The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair opened its gates today and the city is buzzing. You can feel it. Tuesday, time permitting , I plan a trip around the iconic High density suburbs of Luveve, Mzilikazi, Magwegwe and Makokoba. In 1992, I had won a Zesa tender with an outfit called RAMCO Electrical to install prepayment meters in the aforementioned areas, a pioneering project in Zimbabwe I might add, so it's a trip down memory lane for me. #SkiesChronicles #TheKingIsAround #HappinessIsOurBusiness.

After what was a deeply memorable occasion celebrating the lives of our dearly departed grandparents and uncles, our family has been plunged into mourning. My Aunt Grace sadly passed away after our return from Njanja. She suffered a bad fall on Saturday, and although we initially thought it was a knee injury, it later emerged she had sustained a serious fracture. On Sunday morning, she woke up in severe pain and was rushed to a local clinic at Sadza Growth Point, before being transferred to Harare where she was due for surgery. Tragically, she suffered a heart attack brought on by underlying heart disease and did not make it. Aunt Grace, the youngest sister to Mhamha Rose, was 70. We will now be heading back to Njanja, where she will be laid to rest at the family shrine in Redhill, Friday, 17 April. We did not imagine that the joy and togetherness we experienced on Saturday, 11 April, would end this way. Rest in peace, Aunt Grace 😢

##NjanjaChronicles #TheHomecoming #TheKingIsAround Saturday 11 April will sit firmly in my history books ,one of the most memorable, emotional and deeply satisfying days, all wrapped up in a small bag of love. After a full year of planning, 35 grandchildren travelled from across the globe and gathered at the village in Redhill, Njanja, to honour and celebrate the lives and legacy of our dearly departed grandparents, Joseph Mackenzie Magende Pfende (15/10/1910 – 30/06/1988) and Helen Brooks (06/11/1918 – 17/08/1991). My grandfather settled in Redhill around 1940, where he established the first store in the area. A man of few words, but decisive in action. His story deserves more than a single post. My grandmother, Helen, was the daughter of Ambuya Chitema of Chihota and a Scottish immigrant who left soon after her birth. She was strong, hardworking, and deeply rooted in tradition. Despite standing out , light-skinned, with flowing hair , she became part of the community in a way that mattered. She worked the land tirelessly, alongside workers and, at times, us grandchildren during school holidays, while Granddad worked as a chauffeur for the MD of African Distillers in the 1970s. We also took time to remember our uncles. Roger Brooks-Pfende (10/03/1949 – 21/04/1981), whose life was tragically cut short after unknowingly drinking traditional beer laced with poison at a community function , an incident that shook the entire Denhere community. Onias George “Mapepa” Mackenzie Pfende (20/08/1947 – 20/06/1998) , a surveyor par excellence, a storyteller, and a man full of compassion. His work helped shape places like New Ardbennie Industrial area and Rufaro Stadium. Newton Brooks (10/01/1951 – 07/07/2024) , “the philosopher.” A wise, gentle man, a great listener, and one of those uncles I could run to for advice back in my dating days 😆 And Martin Brooks-Pfende (16/03/1942 – 22/10/2001) , a fighter and a brawler, loved his fast cars and everything that came with being the OG in the hood of Kong 😆 He worked at Salisbury Municipality, later Harare City Council. Worked hard. Played hard. For many of us, it was a remembrance and a reunion. Some cousins I hadn’t seen in 25 years. Some meeting for the very first time. There was laughter. There were stories. Drinks flowed, music carried through the night, and a strong team of murooras made sure no one went hungry. We sat around the fire until the early hours, reconnecting, remembering, and restoring something that time had quietly stretched. It was waaaay more than a gathering, it was a homecoming. And to say I need a recharge is an understatement. I’m off the grid Monday and Tuesday 😆

JUSTICE FOR BRAAM KRUGER Emergency services veteran Braam Kruger was found murdered at a Brooklyn guesthouse on Justice Mohamed Drive on 2 April 2026 — a crime that shocked South Africa’s emergency response community. Police say a group of men checked in on Thursday, paid cash, and quietly left hours later. The next morning, staff made a chilling discovery: Kruger tied up, with clear signs of a violent struggle. A multi-disciplinary task team launched an intensive investigation, tracking suspects across provinces. The breakthrough came in Protea Glen, Soweto, where four suspects — Ntando Zondi, Siphesile Xulu, Mpendulo Nyembe, and Sphesihle Mbambo — were arrested. Authorities seized cellphones, bank cards, and clothing allegedly linked to CCTV footage from the crime scene. Police believe the suspects travelled from KZN and formed part of the group responsible. A fifth suspect is still being hunted as investigations continue. ⚖️ A respected responder lost his life — now the pursuit of full justice continues.

Good morning, Beautiful Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 Well. they say "Never Say Never" , a year ago, I vowed never to fly @FlyRwandAir again following our ordeal with them a year or so ago. This time we had no choice but to book on Rwanda Air due to my dilly dallying in booking a flight and finding @FlyEthiopian fully booked for the Easter holiday period. Although @emirates , @qatarairways and Ethihad Airlines had flights galore at bargain ticket prices, we'd have had to have our heads examined by a psychologist if we were to book with any airline that makes stopovers in the Middle East given the current Isreal/USA war on Iran which has caught some Middle Eastern countries in the crossfire. The flight from London to Kigali aboard an airbus , began with a little humour , upon boarding I pretended to turn left to take a sneak peak at the business class , before one of the hostesses tapped me on the shoulder at pointed toward the mbombela, economy class , right at the tailend near the toilets. Talk about putting me in my place! Being poor comes at a price I say 😅😅 The flight wasn't too bad, a few Team Fuloists aboard, recognised me at greeted me with a "Howzit, Chairman" . Made me feel like a celebrity, albeit a poor one, a Temu one as the ama2k would say 🤣🤣 We landed at Kigali International Airport bang on time, and the check in is done upon arrival, which is a great move. Then the long five hour wait began, supposed to be 4 hours. Rather than sit it out on the hard benches, we opted to pay a staggering US$45 to enter the VIP "Dream Lounge" , up from the $30 we paid a year ago. The price comes with a shower, "breakfast" and all the booze you can drink. The breakfast was dreadful , bits of sausage , I'll let the photo do the talking. Had a shower and two beers and found myself a couch and promptly baled out 😴💤and am told was snoring. After the long wait we boarded the Boeing 737-800. Damn! What an uncomfortable flight that was. We were squashed like tinned pilchards, no leg room , my knees hurt so badly and to make it worse, a stop over in Lusaka for "refuelling" . It was a boiling hot hour in the plane! After an arduous hour, we finally took off for Harare. When I got out of my seat. I had to "duck walk" for a while before I regained my step , knees were still painful as we walked towards the customs and immigration at RGM Airport. I was super impressed at the service at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport immigration. All we had to do was scan our Zim passports, glass doors open into a cubicle, then one look at a camera, the second glass doors slide open. Brilliant. I caught a cackle at one chap who was showing off in business class and had a British passport, he was delayed filling in forms 🤣🤣🤣Yah, why did he give up his Zim passport? Tsitstsitsitsi Baggage arrived promptly, immigration procedures were quick and easy. What a transformation. Well done, @Airports_Zim One thing though. Lets get proper uniforms for all immigration staff to make them standout and look smarter. At the end of it all , Im super chuffed to be waking up in Beautiful Zimbabwe 🇿🇼

One thing’s for sure ,I’ll never fly with @FlyRwandAir again. Last-minute flight cancellations, 14–15 hour layovers, and packing passengers into hotel rooms like sardines? Absolutely unacceptable. And judging by the messages I’ve received, I’m far from alone, this seems to be a recurring experience for many. Something’s seriously off. @FlyRwandAir needs to bite the bullet, go back to the drawing board, and fix what’s broken. Fast. #DoBetterRwandaAir #CustomerExperienceMatters

Minnie Baloyi the Elizabeth Macheka, proudly with her godmother Zodwa who controls her. 2026 igore rekuudzana chokwadi, Mkanya Chiwenga makati hazvina basa kuti uri ani chokwadi ngachitaurwe, hapa sisina zvekunyarana. Currently, the same script is playing out in full view. Minnie Baloyi presents an image of diplomacy and quiet composure to the politically naive, yet beneath that image are growing concerns about influence, priorities, and intent. Her visible appetite for luxury, constant travel, curated appearances, and indulgent settings, stands in sharp contrast to Mkanya Chiwenga's pasi nezvigananda slogans , and a nation in distress. Her associations with controversial figures such as Zodwa Mkandla deepen the unease, exposing contradictions between image and reality. More troubling is the growing perception that Minnie Baloyi is not merely present, but strategically positioned, shaping access, influence, and isolating Mkanya Chiwenga from his fellow comrades who could offer grounded and honest advice. Why would Mkanya Chiwenga think it is okay and acceptable for him to be always on holidays whilst the nation is burning? ED is busy making strategic moves, Chiwenga is kept busy with nonsensical vacations. There is a sense that Minnie, reassures Mkanya Chiwenga that all is well, while realities on the ground point in the opposite direction. In this view, her presence is a strategic distraction, softening urgency, redirecting focus, and weakening political sharpness at a time when clarity is needed most. If Mkanya Chiwenga is constantly travelling, removed from the ground, then a fundamental question arises, when does he engage with those who can tell him the truth? Are there any of his Cdes, people accessing him freely or everything is controlled contact? The same Mugabe experienced before his downfall. Leadership cannot exist in isolation, and history has already shown Zimbabwe what happens when a leader is shielded from reality......you will take a walk of shame. Grace Mugabe may have been loud and confrontational, while Minnie Baloyi appears quiet and calculated, but the pattern is the same. They are two sides of the same coin, presenting themselves as supportive partners while steadily dismantling the very power base that sustains their husbands. They may deceive the politically naive, but not all Zimbabweans can be fooled, those with the Eagle eye we are watching and we will speak. Mkanya Chiwenga, start looking at your wife with a different eye, do not become another Robert Mugabe right before our eyes. You need your Cdes more than those vacation holidays which are being splashed on social media exposing you as an unethical and a hypocritical man whose talk is cheap as it does not reflect in your actions. The people are living beyond abject poverty yet your wife is making it clear that you are too comfortable to care about what becomes of our nation and its people. Kugara muri mundege, swimming ,kudya zvino naka, kuchovha mabhasikoro , Emmerson ari busy pa ground imi muchingoti pasi nezvigananda vanhu vachipondwa neku shupika? Sadly this is true. The success of our @SablesRugbyZW side was achieved by identifying all the very best eligible Zimbabweans, irrespective of their race or mother tongue, from right across the world. Whilst that process is harder for an Under 19 side the fact remains that @ZimCricketv have not chosen our strongest sides either for the Under 19 or T20 World Cups. The myopic, antediluvian, tribalist and racist conduct of the current Board and its selectors are against our national interest. The sooner the Sports and Recreation Commission gets involved the better. Sadly it is now too late for these World Cups but it is critical they do so for the future of #cricket in #Zimbabwe.
