Alexia Putellas ran toward the corner flag with her arms outstretched in celebration.
She looked up at the Camp Nou's sweeping stands, and more than 60,000 people returned her gaze.
Then came her traditional bow to the fans, who responded as they always do: “𝑵𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒉𝒊 𝒉𝒂 𝒖𝒏𝒂 𝒓𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒂 — 𝑨𝒍𝒆𝒙𝒊𝒂 𝑷𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒔.”
There is only one queen — Alexia Putellas. 👑

📸 | A historic act of defiance.
In 1977, during a heated clash between FC Barcelona and Málaga, Johan Cruyff was shown a red card. But what followed turned a simple sending-off into a symbol of history.
As he walked off, Cruyff removed his captain’s armband, bearing the Catalan Senyera, and raised it toward the fans. At a time when Catalan identity had only recently re-emerged after years of repression following Francisco Franco’s regime, this gesture meant far more than football.

On #StPatricksDay, Mexico always remembers and honours the 'San Patricios', the battalion of Irish immigrants to the US that decided to fight alongside the Mexican army during the US invasion of Mexico in 1846-48. The tablet in their memory in Mexico City, in San Angel. ☘️

Randy Arozarena just went off on Cal Raleigh;
(Translated and written by Master Flip)
How do you think I should respond to Cal Raleigh? How should I put it to him?
I want to say it in four languages.
First in Spanish: The only thing he should be thankful for is having such great parents. He’s very well educated, thank God. I was lucky enough to see them a few days ago at the hotel. They came over to greet me, gave me a big hug, and were genuinely proud to see me again.
After that, I want to give it to him straight Cuban style: What he has to do is fuck off!
Mexican style: Go to hell!
And in English: That fake ass “good to see you” he hit me with? He can shove it straight up his ass. I’m out.
