@tommysantos14 @libsoftiktok Read the judgement. It’s filled with non-sensical anti-trust commentary. This was purely politically motivated, as comments from the Biden admin and various high-ranking dems (including the acting Secretary of Transportation) show. They actively voiced their opposition.

And what was the ruling on the case? That’s right. It violated American anti-trust laws. So the courts, and the law, stopped the merger. Right? You’re not suggesting the Biden administration should have allowed an illegal, harmful merger to take place, are you? That would have actually been government intervention. And if you’re blaming a lack of government intervention - like the socialists you whine about, why are you skipping over Trump’s failure to save them? You’re going back in time to blame a Democrat when your own orange deity actually did fail to save them. No one’s buying this bullshit.

Since the paid MAGA influencer losers are executing their marching orders on this Spirit story, let’s inject some reality. The Biden administration didn’t stop any Spirit mergers. The issue went to trial and a judge ruled that a Jet Blue/Spirit merger violated US antitrust laws, and would likely increase prices on consumers. The courts ruled, correctly, that the merger violated the law and would hurt Americans. So, fellow Americans: what MAGA is really saying is they don’t give a shit about the law, and they don’t give a shit if you had to pay more to fly. politico.com/news/2024/01/1…

There's now good journalism on the major destruction imposed by Iran on most regional US military bases, using sophisticated and precise weapons. But again: those whose understanding of the Iran War comes from Fox, the WH and Trump influencers have no idea this is happening:
CNN International PR@cnnipr

New CNN Investigation: At least 16 American military sites have been damaged in Iranian strikes, making up the majority of US positions in the Middle East. From CNN's @tamaraqiblawi and the Investigations team.

@Bambit_enforcer @ScottJenningsKY No, America didn’t start the war. If we use your logic, then the war started before America even existed. The Obama deal was a joke- Iran blatantly ignored the terms (just ask the IAEA). If Iran had control of the strait, they wouldn’t be bleeding $$$ right now.

America started the war, and it was Trump who ripped up the agreement that ensured Iran never got nukes, as they were under the most supervision in the world. And now Iran has control of the Strait of Hormuz, and all the US can do is block Iranian ports in the Strait, while Iran has other ports like the Caspian Sea.

Call out the Trump market manipulation today Scott. “Iran new proposal submitted thru Pakistan🤡” It’s disgraceful. Self enriching bullshit and is outrageous. You can still support Trump. But also. Grow a pair. Be a ma and call out the unfathomable foolishness that Trump on repeat keeps pulling on America to put hundreds of millions in his own pockets

“U.S. history started 8 weeks ago?” That’s funny, because your version seems to start after 1979 and skips everything before it. 1953 CIA-backed coup. Decades of U.S. support for the Shah. The Iran-Iraq War era. Iran Air Flight 655. Sanctions. Assassinations. Bases surrounding Iran. But sure, let’s pretend this whole story begins only when Iran responds. Yes, Iran has hit U.S. interests and backed groups that attacked U.S. forces. Nobody is denying that. But acting like America suddenly “responded” after 50 innocent years is comedy. If history matters, use all of it — not just the chapter that makes your side look clean.

Here’s something I’d like to ask Pete Hegseth. Why is Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner parading around in the Middle East, trying to raise billions for his private equity firm while we are in the middle of a war? We deserve answers.

This is how an economy actually works
Brivael Le Pogam@brivael

Personne n'a planifié.

NEW: The manifesto for alleged White House Correspondents’ Dinner gunman Cole Allen has been released. In the manifesto, Allen mocked Secret Service for being "incompetent" and for the poor security at the hotel. Here is the manifesto, in part, per the New York Post: "Hello everybody! So I may have given a lot of people a surprise today. Let me start off by apologizing to everyone whose trust I abused. ... On to why I did any of this: I am a citizen of the United States of America. What my representatives do reflects on me. And I am no longer willing to permit a ped*phile, rap*st, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes. ... Administration officials (not including Mr. Patel): they are targets, prioritized from highest-ranking to lowest Secret Service: they are targets only if necessary, and to be incapacitated non-lethally if possible (aka, I hope they’re wearing body armor because center mass with shotguns messes up people who *aren’t* Hotel Security: not targets if at all possible (aka unless they shoot at me) ... Rebuttals to objections: Objection 1: As a Christian, you should turn the other cheek. Rebuttal: Turning the other cheek is for when you yourself are oppressed. I’m not the person raped in a detention camp. I’m not the fisherman executed without trial. I’m not a schoolkid blown up or a child starved or a teenage girl abused by the many criminals in this administration. ... Thank you all for everything. Sincerely, Cole “coldForce” “Friendly Federal Assassin” Allen PS: Ok now that all the sappy stuff is done, what the hell is the Secret Service doing? Sorry, gonna rant a bit here and drop the formal tone. Like, I expected security cameras at every bend, bugged hotel rooms, armed agents every 10 feet, metal detectors out the wazoo. What I got (who knows, maybe they’re pranking me!) is nothing. No damn security. Not in transport. Not in the hotel. Not in the event. Like, the one thing that I immediately noticed walking into the hotel is the sense of arrogance. I walk in with multiple weapons and not a single person there considers the possibility that I could be a threat. The security at the event is all outside, focused on protestors and current arrivals, because apparently no one thought about what happens if someone checks in the day before. ... Video: @AsraNomani
