He was wrong from the moment he said that 'renewables' were safe and sustainable. Go to the vast open-pit lithium mines in the triangle and dig into the companies working there. They lobbied the government to redefine what counts as 'drinkable water' purely to hide the fact they dump millions of gallons of contaminated sludge into the environment every year. Did he mention how many birds are killed by wind turbines every year, or how many whales and other marine animals die tangled in the cables of offshore wind turbines? What about the thousands of acres of solar panels erected for tax benefits that are now disintegrating bit by bit into the earth? His facts fall apart under the slightest bit of empirical scrutiny. They are the kind of nonsense that real environmentalists have been writing about in utter despair for years, because they are nothing but strawmen that sabotage any real case for the limited value renewable energy might actually bring to the economy.
