My father is a doctor of jurisprudence and is perfectly fine not being called “doctor” as an attorney. It’s the clinical use of the term that’s intentionally line blurring and not ethical. With a vast difference in training and expertise, the clinical use of the term doctor is synonymous with physician and always has been. Patients deserve to know who they are seeing because it makes all the difference in their cost of care and health outcomes. ama-assn.org/practice-manag…

My wife loves when she asks me what someone owns or how much they’re probably worth. But then she gets terrified about how much data is out there. No

Affirmative action was never a complete answer in the drive towards a more just society. But for generations of students who had been systematically excluded from most of America’s key institutions—it gave us the chance to show we more than deserved a seat at the table. In the wake of the Supreme Court’s recent decision, it’s time to redouble our efforts.

I wanted to share some of my thoughts on today's Supreme Court decision on affirmative action:

@uneasypause Epic! Loved how it built up to the end. If I’ve ever made huge breakthroughs in life, I can always trace back how they were rooted in contribution to other people and their problems. Never due to my own survival.

🚀You Were Built For MORE Than Just Survival💪 This was an impromptu solo rip from 2020, and it's still my favorite thing I've ever recorded with no plan, no goal, no outline. Please listen to the entire 19 mins and then send it to 1 person you feel needs to hear this message.

Maybe if we called meditation “tactical relaxation”, it would be more widely practiced

Looking back, one of the big things I learned from that experience was that even if you're solving tomorrow's problems, you're still working with today's technology. Don’t be discouraged if someone doesn’t see the value in your idea - the market just may not be ready for it.

Is it getting to the point that I wish I had AI to summarize the daily onslaught of new AI developments, or is it just me?

Early career years are painful. You feel like an idiot 98% of the time - lost, confused and insecure. I wish I had a cheat sheet of principles for my first job. So I put one together. Here are 20 (non-fortune cookie) things about building a career I wish I knew sooner:

Is that Skynet, or capitalism’s invisible hand as all the tech companies try to outdo themselves with AI? Hard to tell.

It’s not about your y-intercept, but instead about the slope of your curve. Dream big, work hard, and make it happen.

Being able to ask good questions, prioritize actions, and filter signal from noise will be increasingly crucial skills in the new age of AI, and certainly more attainable and defensible long-term positions than being the domain expert in a specialized field.
