@jedmlnarik57 @osbornforne I have to agree with you on that. When we have to have a tutor for each illegal that can’t speak English in school on our taxpayer money, they probably do get a better education than American citizens.

In 2024, Nebraska voters rejected private school vouchers by nearly 60%. Voters in 45 of 49 legislative districts said NO. So did Jim Pillen and Pete Ricketts accept the will of the voters? Of course not.

I’m not opposed to voter ID as long as IDs are free, which they are not so the SAVE act is unconstitutional and clearly meant to stifle poor people from voting.

We are in a budget crisis but @SenatorRicketts and @jim_pillen are bullying state senators to keep 3.5 million in the budget to fund private schools...even though over 65% of Nebraskans voted against this on the ballot. One-party Republican corruption. Vote for Dems and Indys.

I don't want taxes I paid in for education funding the liberal cult acting as a state religion in our schools. The money should follow the student. What other possible reason could you have for keeping poor and minority students in failing schools? Parents want choice no matter the insults you fling.

It's not that complicated. The majority of Nebraska voters have already said no to public funds being given to PRIVATE schools.

Instead of fighting school choice tooth and nail, you could have spent the last five years coming up with alternatives. Parents want choice and better alternatives no matter how much you try to ignore it. Government schools can either fix themselves at a much lower expense to taxpayers or become utterly irrelevant.

My kids all went to private elementary schools and I paid the tuition. Never did I feel entitled to be able to avail myself of PUBLIC funds to help pay tuition.
