This is blatantly inaccurate @MetroUK. Steph Richards is excluded from the formal proceedings of Labour’s women’s conference because he is a man - not because he is trans. While we’re discussing inaccuracies: “Biological sex assigned at birth” is both inaccurate and ideologically loaded. Sex is observed and recorded, not assigned. Richards having a GRC and undergoing surgery is irrelevant to eligibility because neither changes his sex under the Equality Act. It is regrettable that Labour previously misled Richards about his eligibility for women’s opportunities. But last year’s Supreme Court judgment clarified the meaning of “woman” and “female” in law. Isn’t it time Metro caught up - and stopped misleading its readers?

I just don’t see Burnham calling an election. It’s too risky for him. However I hope he does call an election because there’s a good chance a lot of Labour MPs will lose their seats and we must take our victories wherever we can find them.

@Pafar @jwludwig @SnackPr0tein Studies don’t show that. There is some evidence of a trans brain. Literally no evidence that men can have women’s brains. Just as mental as saying they can have female livers or spleens.

@jwludwig @SnackPr0tein It's not a problem but yes studies show the brain is out of sync with the physical body. Taking hormones and hormone blockers is not poison. It's rebalancing the hormones in the body. Cis people do it, too. You may take testerone for all I know.

@jwludwig @SnackPr0tein I never said men can menstruation. Trans men can still get pregnant. Just like trans women can lactate. Gender Affirming care has proven to be safe amd effective at all ages. Children socially transition,that's it. They do so with their parents consent.

At the vet, getting flea treatment for the housecats, the receptionist asked if I minded helping tidy up their records. They read through 40 names and I had to say if they were alive or dead and, if alive, if they were still with me or adopted elsewhere.
Half a dozen adopted, about 10 dead, and the rest either in the house or sitting now at the Diner wondering why Catdinner is later again.

I injured my back last year & was taken to hospital.
Before I was discharged the Staff wanted me to use the loo.
I was there with my husband, 2 of my best friends (who happen to be gay men) & a woman I'd met twice who had given them a lift.
I couldn't bend, so needed help.
To maintain my privacy & dignity I asked the only woman.
It didn't occur to me to ask any of the men.
How stupid & uneducated do you have to be to say, out loud in public, that women who require some same-sex considerations are right-wing fascists.
