Unless you’re a newb who can feasibly build muscle/lose fat simultaneously (recomp) Starting a bulk from that 16/17%/18% fat range just makes zero sense if you want to maximise your bulk. That’s why getting closer to 8-10% just gives you a bigger runway to build out from. The problem is most don’t want to embrace the suck of legitimately hitting that 8-10% range. They’re scared to look “skinny” or it’s a shock to the system to see how low on the scale they’d have to go. So they settle and build from 15% with a sub par bulk. Just bite the fucking bullet. Get really lean and BUILD out properly.
