@tedlieu The entire Democrat complex put their weight behind Massie and got totally owned. Embarassing.

The people of Kentucky spoke loud and clear last night. They want fighters who will deliver real results, and time and again, Thomas Massie stood in the way.

I’ve been lurking in anti-AI, anti-data center activist facebook groups just to understand what their arguments are Guys it’s really not a good sign that they are borrowing the same tactic of framing non-violent things as violence. During the woke cultural revolution, innocuous things such as free speech and simply asserting the biological reality of two sexes were considered violence. You know where this leads, right? Labeling things as “violence” or “harm” lowers the bar for outrage and justifies…. anything. There are no limiting principles. It moves the issue from pragmatic cost-benefit analysis into moral theater. It might be the new mind virus

Barney Frank was one of a kind. For more than three decades in Congress, he fought tirelessly for the people of Massachusetts, helped make housing more affordable, stood up for the rights of LGBTQ+ Americans, and helped pass one of the most sweeping financial reforms in history designed to protect consumers and prevent another financial crisis. Barney’s passion and wit were second to none, and our thoughts are with his family today.

I think Massie losing is worse for Trump. He’s spending 2027-2029 facing Dem accountability anyway so now he’s just made a MAGA Martyr who will fracture his power in the base more. Maybe just cope but I think this is the worst outcome for the MAGA establishment.

Thomas Massie campaigned with Nazis this weekend. It’s time for @SpeakerJohnson to strip Massie of his committees for the remaining 7 months he has in Congress. He cannot be allowed to be an anti-Trump obstructionist for 7 months. Party time is over. It’s time for the GOP to address its Nazi problem. And yes, the GOP has a major Nazi problem.

I've been a long time supporter of Thomas Massie. He has a solid voting record. I'm sad to lose him in Congress, but not surprised. His recent messaging is not in line with the average Kentucky GOP primary voter. They generally love Trump, have a favorable opinion of Israel due to religious reasons, and are not obsessed with the Epstein files. Maybe Thomas Massie didn't want to win? Maybe he's sick of Congress- wouldn't blame him. He has, apparently, gained a huge new fan base online. I'm sure he knows he can monetize that as a political commentator. But he's in a weird position. It seems like most of his new fans are not typical liberty conservative types. They primarily like Massie due to his willingness to criticize Israel and fixation on the Epstein files. Many are openly Jew haters, which I don't think Massie is. Many are extremist conspiracy theorists, which I don't think Massie is. These people are not very loyal. They jump from one thing to the next. I think they may eventually turn on Massie when he's not "based" enough for them. We'll see what happens. Just sad to lose one of the best pro-liberty congressman and gain a likely war hawk in his place.

If trump’s popularity is in the toilet, if his own party is finally fed up with his overt criminality, if he tells us he does not give one fuck about how his constituency feels or eats, or lives, how are they still winning elections? why?

I didn’t want to say this out loud… but I can’t ignore it anymore. I regret my vote. I believed things would shift—toward peace, toward stability, toward putting the country first again. That’s not what’s happening. What I’m seeing now feels way too familiar… just rebranded. People aren’t getting relief—they’re getting squeezed harder. Prices aren’t easing—they keep climbing. And the global entanglements everyone promised would slow down? They haven’t. At some point, you have to stop defending a decision just because you made it. This stopped being about personalities for me. It’s about results. And the reality is… this isn’t what I voted for.

🇺🇸 Ed Gallrein beat Thomas Massie in Kentucky's 4th Congressional District primary without winning a single age group under 65. Seniors carried him across the finish line. Every other demographic voted for Massie. That's how powerful the 65+ bloc has become in low-turnout primaries. You don't need to win the room. You just need to own the one corner that actually shows up. Source: NBC News, AF Post

🇺🇸 Thomas Massie just lost his Kentucky primary, and Trump couldn't wait to comment. Trump at the Congressional Picnic: "He was a bad guy. He deserved to lose."

Half the GOP is saying Israel rigged the vote against Massie and the other half is celebrating the fact that the guy who wants to hold pedophiles accountable lost. Totally normal party.

His district decided he wasn’t representing them. He had 14 years. No one could really name one thing he did for Kentucky. Their choice. Their vote. It wasn’t Israel. It wasn’t the amount of money or whatever else is being thrown around. Just like I’m voting Paxton because Cornyn is not representing those who voted for him. Don’t care who endorses. My mind has been made up. I watched. I listened. It’s time for him to go. I remember what he’s said and done. I used to like Massie and thought he was one of the good ones, but I sure haven’t supported him this past 1 1/2 years due to his grandstanding and sanctimonious attitude. But, it wasn’t up to me. His constituents made that call.
