Alright, this is getting ridiculous. I'm uninstalling it. If you need me, email me, I'm not bothering social media anymore

@PPLElectric is there a reason I have been an hold for an hour and 26 minutes trying to talk to the construction department about setting up service to a new construction. Not a good way to start…

@PPLElectric I've called your services twice this morning, only to wait an hour each time to be transferred and then hung up on before the second number picks up. Your customer service is atrocious, by far the worst I've ever dealt with.

Really bad call here imo. Making it your normal text solution was the main thing keeping Signal alive with most folks. I have to imagine signal adoption drops significantly with this stance.

In the interest of privacy, security, and clarity we’re beginning to phase out SMS support from the Android app. You’ll have several months to export your messages and either find a new app for SMS or tell your friends to download Signal.  signal.org/blog/sms-remov…

@signalapp This is extremely disappointing. SMS integration is what set Signal apart from the fragmented ecosystem of other messaging apps. It's what made it easy for less technical friends & family to switch to and stay with Signal.

signal.org/blog/sms-remov… @signalapp this is disappointing. I'm not going to use two apps for messaging, so I'll end up with a less privacy focused app. Dropping SMS support wont stop people from using it. Unfortunately I can't get everyone I know to use signal so I still need SMS

Recently @Northeastern decided to install an IoT surveillance system in our lab that researches the security and privacy of IoT devices. Turns out these devices lack privacy, security, and more importantly good adhesives.

I'm jettisoning work apps and social media for a few weeks while on holiday. But! I'm still looking for a senior vulnerability researcher who's into n-day and 0day analysis. DM me here or apply directly, and I'll talk to you in March! rapid7.com/careers/jobs/d…

As usual all slides from @5aelo and @itszn13 are gold if you're into the JS/JIT engines game ;) It gonna be hard for people not at @offensive_con to wait for the video replay :p

@DaryllSwer @RainofTerra @neil_h_watson @dodo_sec @oilyraincloud Several years ago Google offered me a similar deal if i used their router on my home network. I think the deal was for around 5 or 6 hundred dollars. I thought about faking traffic to it, but decided against it as taking their money would technically make that fraud.

@andrewfasano Same thing happened to me, it's something with the syntax formatting for tex files. If you do "set syntax=off", it'll be right again (but syntax highlighting won't obviously)

Four years into my PhD program I discovered that my vim config was only spell checking comments in my .tex files and not the actual text. I guess my co-authors hvae all seen a side of me I try to hide.

@JoeKnowsCyber I think if you're discussing this on public Twitter, it's largely become a moot point. Lol

Is it dumb to give a 30 day notice of resignation, to give an organization a month to help with contingency and transition planning? Asking for a me.

We provided a fix for the first issue and all necessary backports. The commit message that was provided directly to Linus mentioned "This fixes CVE-2022-22942", but this has been inexplicably removed from the upstream commit: git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/…

@AreTillery Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but by is a cyclic graph do you mean the program is a never ending cycle? If so, I'd think that would just be another instance of the halting problem.

Tillery; find me elsewhere, only here sporadically
Program Analysis friends, I woke up in the middle of the night wondering if there's any research into whether you can determine if an arbitrary program is a cyclic graph or not. Can you help me out?
