Did Roy Cooper not understand that the point of his job as NC governor was to keep people safe?
He put hardened felons back on the streets (many of whom went on to commit murder) because he was worried they were going to COVID in jail.

It’s May 15th. Six years ago today, my father died alone in a nursing home. The facility, like all others in North Carolina, was locked down under strict orders from then-Governor Roy Cooper.
What should have been a time for family to comfort their loved ones became a cruel isolation enforced by government overreach. I had to force my way in—daring them to arrest me—just to spend 42 precious minutes with my father before he passed.
Now Roy Cooper wants to represent North Carolina in the United States Senate.
No thanks, Roy.
Your policies during that time had devastating human costs. They left countless families—including mine—unable to say proper goodbyes. North Carolinians deserve better.
We must reject this candidacy and send Roy Cooper home for good.
