@PrestonSprinkle comments here re: soft/gentle complementarian - as Kevin Giles would say, that is a 21st century novelty! Of course we are complementarian, look it up in the dictionary, we were all meant to fit together. But to assume a gender bias in that response is to embrace what went wrong!

As I’m tossing out thoughts about my journey in the question of women in church leadership (ie what the Bible says about it), egalitarians think I’m obviously complementarian while complementerians say I’m obviously egalitarian. (Psst, I’m still undecided.) What do you all think?

@dreamtheater207 @NijayKGupta Gal 3:28 actually says “there is no male AND female.” It’s an allusion to Gen 1:27, which complicates the interpretation. What is Paul disagreeing with in Gen 1:27? 🤔

I don’t mind if politicians sometimes quote Scripture. But his reading of 2 Tim 4:7 is either bad allegory, or bad application when referenced to the US government.

@keithgiles True story? Some of it maybe? "burn in hell" is too much straw man for me, is there not a more robust argument than picking on extreme views? And no one owns being good? ... as if there is no definition? So everyone gets to decide what is good, then we are good, right? .... nope
