BREAKING: In a hilarious, embarrassing, and VERY telling mistake, the official Twitter account of the Republican Party tweets and then, after being ridiculed, deleted its happy Fourth of July message to the American people. Their humiliating mistake became quickly apparent when Twitter users noticed that instead of tweeting the American flag, the Republican Party instead tweeted the flag of Liberia, an African nation that was established as a colony for formerly enslaved Black Americans. For a party that obsessed over “patriotism,” and threw a baby tantrum over the Biden White House celebrating Pride Month by erecting a pride flag, it’s very telling that the official Twitter account of the Republican Party doesn’t even know what the American flag looks like. While Republican fascists love to drape themselves in the flag, they defend Trump, a Russian asset who was recently charged by America’s Justice Department with multiple counts of violating counts of the Espionage Act. They make claim to be “patriots,” but the rest of us see right through them — and today’s telling blunder only further confirms that the Republican Party continues to stray father and farther from American values. Sadly, @AWeissmann_ , a fabricating court isn’t likely to pursue these remedies against those whose fabrications enabled it to advance its agenda. This is NOT a normal court. Not by any stretch.

There was a little coffee shop where two people arrived and approached the counter. “Five coffees ☕️ please. Two for us and three pending.” They paid, they took their two coffees and left. The following order was for seven coffees and it was made by three women - Three for them and four pending coffees. I was left wondering...what is the meaning of the pending coffees, they leave. Then, a man dressed in worn clothes, who looks like he might be homeless, arrives at the counter and asks sincerely... “Do you have a coffee pending?” “Yes we do, sir.” They serve him a coffee.... I got my answer. People pay in advance for a coffee that will be served to whoever can't afford a hot drink. This tradition started in Naples. Amazingly, it has spread throughout the world’s cities and towns. It’s also possible to order not only “pending coffees” but also a sandwich or a full low cost meal. Wouldn’t it be great if we could all start doing this in the cities and towns where we live? Small kindnesses like this can impact so many lives, in ways we could never imagine. Maybe we should all try it. 😊❤️🌹
