A Tennessee mother shot and killed 20-year-old man after discovering him hiding under her 13-year-old daughter’s bed in their Memphis home.
The teen had invited the man inside around 1 a.m., and when Kendra Scott returned shortly afterward, she confronted him, ordered him out, and fired a shot to the back of his head on the front porch as he fled.
Scott now faces first-degree murder charges, though her lawyer described the situation as a parent’s worst nightmare and questioned whether her actions were rational under the circumstances.
