@_HellkerN_ @franbiren @OrwellNGoode I live about 1200 miles from the closest part of Mexico or that would be a good option. Right now it would cost minimum 1k for flight and lodging per trip not including the clinic costs. It starts to not make sense financially.

@franbiren @OrwellNGoode That's the situation in America. It will save me about 1500 dollars vs going to an established dentist. Medical tourism is a great way to save money. I've had a few things done in India but this implant will be 3 separate procedures, months apart.

In my case it's not cheap but still not as expensive as private, and the wait time is crazy.

@franbiren @OrwellNGoode It still ain't cheap. I'm getting an implant done at UAB school of dentistry and the initial scans/extraction/bone graft were 700, and the implant itself will cost 1200 plus sedation, similar cost for the crown. So more than 3k to let students practice on me.

There are highly patriarchal countries where fertility is collapsing. It’s collapsing in countries that are still poor. It’s collapsing in places with more generous social support for families. I had to professionally interact with the police in a past job. Day one, my boss set out the rules of how to call the police and get them to show up, because if we were being assaulted there was no guarantee they would bother. You literally have to use magic words to summon them
