We’re making it easier for millions of businesses to accept bitcoin. Starting today, eligible U.S. @Square sellers will begin having Bitcoin payments automatically enabled. Sellers who accept bitcoin will receive USD as default. This is how bitcoin as everyday money begins.

Austrians >>> Keynesians Government spending != economic growth
JavierMileiDE_Kommentar@JavierMileiDE

Einziger Unterschied in Argentinien.

If MAID was offered at the NDP convention half of the weirdos would do it to prove a point. What a collection of absolute nut jobs.

Why are Canadians still travelling to the States? Because it’s a nice place with friendly people. As a Canadian, my friends and I have been travelling to the U.S. with absolutely no issues. Don’t listen to the fear mongers who haven’t even visited. Canadians with no money are not travelling to the States because they need to pay for food. Next trip to the U.S. booked!

BREAKING: Toronto approves city-run grocery stores In a 21–3 vote, councillors backed Anthony Perruzza’s plan to launch 4 municipally run stores to offer cheaper food. Big test for public retail.

@jeffreymanner I mean, I’m not sure I want some Waterloo student with Claude code to go in and just cause a ruckus but I think there’s a happy medium that doesn’t require 1,000,000,000+ dollars that’s for sure

Understand the current, so we can change the future. We all track outcomes in our businesses, very smart to apply the same (rather low bar) to our government and public service. Data + ai are going to be core to driving the change we need in this country.

I love the retro airport terminal look, but didn't want to spend $3.5k on a vestaboard. I coded a fun tool that turns any tv into a vestaboard. > add quotes / weather / stats etc > no subscription, $199 one time fee > first customer gets a free tv hmu :)

Announcement: Hiring for Opendoor Toronto We are building a team for Opendoor in the great city of Toronto, Canada. We’re hiring across operations, finance, engineering, design, data, etc. Hang with us next week to learn more: projects.opendoor.com/toronto-hiring/ Toronto is the single greatest source of raw, high talent people in the world across almost every discipline. Often people feel like they have to leave to do something special but a lot of the magic happens right here. On a life experience and risk-reward basis it’s underpriced whereas places like SF, NY etc are priced in.

British voting patterns are weirdly the exact inverse of Canada. Canadian youth are trying to hammer the brakes on everything from wokism to immigration, while British youth are flooring the gas.

Bitcoin as the reserve asset and settlement layer, stablecoins as the unit of account and medium of exchange. Those two primitives are sufficient to construct most of what global finance actually needs. Lending markets, credit markets, yield instruments, structured products. The architecture simplifies when the foundation is sound.
