Much respect to @dak for taking the time to be so personal and real with my son and I. He shared his story about losing loved ones and opened up about how he’s navigated grief — and that meant more than he probably knows. In a world where people often only see the athlete, we got to see the man… humble, compassionate, and genuine. Thank you brother for your honesty, your time, and for pouring into my son during a time when words truly matter. @jettc75 Moments like that stay with you forever. Appreciate you, brother. I’m thinking of buying a camera to make my pictures better. I use the iphone16 Max, I think it’s pretty good for day time photography, but at night it is awful.
I like to take sunset/sunrise/nature pics. Any recommendations are welcome, price isn’t an issue. Thank you!! 😊

Wild this isn't getting news coverage. A homeless woman in Austin gets shot dead in the neck and robbed. Cops figure out pretty fast it was a repeat violent offender Austin prosecutors had already let walk on aggravated robberies, drug felonies, gun charges, plus a separate shooting where he put three bullets in a someone’s leg over a crack baggie. Cops get the guy on his own home camera, six minutes after the murder, bagging up his bloody clothes, telling a woman to mop the floor and lie to the cops, and literally saying out loud “homicide will be in this hoe.” DA José Garza’s office looked at all of it and dropped the murder charge two weeks ago. The man is back on the street.

And as far as I can tell most Europeans believe all their woes are Trumps fault.
Why is Europe, throughout history always dragging itself into hell?
Even their hatred of Russia is largely self inflicted.
If Germany under Hitler would not have attacked Russia, the Eastern bloc of USSR would likely never have existed.
Yet even now UK and EU saber rattle at Russia and tell their people to prepare for war with Russia.
From Putin’s perspective, he believes them and frankly anyone with even a passing knowledge of European / Russian history understands his position is 💯 warranted.
EU threatening Russia and continuing an endless war in Ukraine is the dumbest damn thing I can possibly imagine.
Europe has no resources for war. They are friggin dependent upon Russia for NG and other resources for crying out loud.
In short Europe is in a horrible mess due to gross incompetence, treason, greed and graft and such a complete lack of self awareness that they call the rest of the world stupid aggressors.
Bottom line, Europe started the last two world wars, they can fight the next one on their own.
I wish them luck, but the rest of the world should not have to sacrifice their young people on the alter of Europe’s ridiculous propensity for violence and folly.

Tonight’s “Buzz’s Bedtime Story” is one of my personal favorites! The time that God intervened in my life and Blessed me. This is the time the US Marines helped me meet my wife!
On August 8th, 1995, I was a deployed Air Force officer, squadron operations officer, and pilot in Japan. On one particular day, we were to scheduled to fly from Yokota AFB (Tokyo) to South Korea to bring approximately 200 Marines back to their home base, Iwakuni, Japan.
We were scheduled to spend the night at Iwakuni and then go back and get the remainder of Marines the next morning.
On this particular trip, I just happened to be giving (“administrating”) a check ride for a pilot upgrading to aircraft commander (Captain). After we arrived to pick up the first group of Marines, we chatted with their commander. They looked tired, spent, and dirty.
I realized the remaining Marines would be sleeping on the floor of the terminal overnight. In uniform, on their rucks, in a frigid terminal in South Korea.
My pilot getting the check ride suggested we should come back and get the rest, another 200 Marines.
I said, “Make it happen, captain.” He called AMC headquarters and suggested we keep going. It was pushing a really long crew day but they approved. I approached the young Marine commander and told him to sit tight, we’d be back. He was ecstatic.
So, we flew the first 200 home, dropped them off engines running and returned for the rest. The remaining Marines were thrilled. We flew them back to Iwakuni as well, and with no need to spend the night, we got gas, turned, and flew back to Yokota.
We were tired. As always, right after we blocked in, our mission commander (Kurt!) picked us up in a pickup truck with ice and beer in the bed. He drove us directly to the Officer’s Club.
We were all hanging out at the “Outback” and my loadmaster friend was buying shots. Another pilot, who hadn’t been flying that day, walked across the street from the BOQ, interrupted, and told us (probably about 20 dudes in flight suits) that he had a small party going on in his room.
I rolled my eyes and said, “No, I really don’t want to do that. We’re having a blast.” He looked to me and said specifically, “I have somebody I want you to meet.”
We all settled up and headed across the street. Immediately upon walking into my buddies apartment, I locked onto a really beautiful girl. That’s who he wanted me to meet. Tall, blonde, California girl who was a Christian conservative.
We dated a few times in Tokyo. I flew home and she flew home. Fortunately, we both lived in Northern California and were able to see each other occasionally.
When I went to the White House, she lived in Hawaii. We made that work somehow. That was 30 years ago and 3 glorious children later. And here we are! Now and then!

I’m asking you to question everything you’ve been told at school or at work or at church — and certainly anything you hear from a politician. Reject anything that makes you less human.
A different world is possible. What if we built systems that brought out the best in us? What if we invested the same resources into peace that we invest into war? What if the only hunger was for justice?
