The big news in the social media world is Grant Horvat and the Bryan Bros forming a golf tour for social media influencers. Before you write it off, keep in mind these guys have MILLIONS of followers. Generate millions of views. Have more fans than your average PGA Tour player. The winner will get a million bucks. I’m not saying it’s a success yet. But imagine if ten years ago I told you that people would watch normal great players golf. Just dudes. For thousands of hours. And that these dudes would make more than many PGA Tour players. You never would have believed it.

@engineeringolf Comes down to use case. Driver is the most forgiving club in the bag. Modern drivers are tennis rackets. Despite how OEMs market around distance, still think the game comes down to 120 and in for most Ams. Giving up another wedge (in all likelihood) vs 90% driver is foolish.

Now that Arccos have got rid of sensors people are saying they were bad. I use Shotscope with sensors and don’t even notice them. Why are the sensors bad? Is this something a lot of people say? Whatever product they use.

LeBron has (I think justifiably) a massive ego, and it seems to cause plenty of drama behind the scenes at times, but I admire his willingness to make a commercial where the premise is: "I am trash at this new sport I'm deep into." Jordan would never. Also, shout out to carrying!

@TeeTimesPub @DataGolf The LIV players seem more skilled than they are because of their names, but the reality is their skill has plateaued. Also, beating up on top heavy 57 man fields is going to limit how much you get rewarded regardless of how badass you are. Rahm gave up his legacy for cash.

@DataGolf I understand it, just think it's flawed. 2026's numbers place a LIV basically on par with an opposite field event, and I just can't come to terms with the idea that Rahm's win = Castillo's win, even with field size considerations.

Jon Rahm would rank 7th in DG points if he’d won all four LIV events this season, even though he would have been the best player in the world in True Strokes Gained in that stretch. Sick system they’ve cooked up.

If Cam Young wins a major everyone’s going to be pausing at the top of their backswing. I like it. I’m not a pauser but all my really bad shots tend to feel like my transition was bad. I like to feel a little delay. Might try the Cam Young pause 🤔

Cameron Young is up to 4th in the world ranking after his win at THE PLAYERS. He’s officially in “first-name only” territory. Only Scottie, Rory and Tommy are ranked ahead of him.

@KendoVT A big reason The Players likely won’t be counted as a major anytime soon. If we’re going add one, it needs to be outside the U.S. The jingoism is incredibly base. I’d much rather have fans just root for great golf than against a specific player. But whatever.

Maybe not the main reason but one of the reasons heckling Euros is a bigger issue now than ever before is bc how big of an event the Ryder Cup has become and the fact that the Americans can’t seem to get over the hump. Americans aren’t great losers at anything. The RC is now the 2nd biggest golf event behind the Masters for casuals and for some hardos, it is the #1 event in golf. This leads some Americans to have a sour taste in their mouths and they release their frustrations on the Euro players in other events. Some Americans also don’t like the fact that the fans were called out at Bethpage (rightfully so) for their behavior. I will say that the crowd was a BIG factor in Cam Young winning and not Fitz losing. I will talk about this extensively on the show tonight. Other reasons this is occurring: -The state of our nation currently is the ‘we love America and no one else’ crowd and the ‘We hate America and need change’ crowd. These might not be the majority but they are the loudest. Not many Americans with the ‘we hate America’ mindset are golf fans. -We are in the middle of a war and patriotism tends to go to a higher level in these times. -Gambling. Spoke about this on the @FGDegenerates show recently. -Drunk idiots.
