Did you know that the amount of money that the LADoT bus system generates from fare collection is - wait for it - the about the same as it costs to enforce that fare collection. They cancel each other out! At that point, buses may as well be free. 🚏🚌
So that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
As mayor, I’ll make LADoT buses free as a part of my plan to improve public transit citywide saving money for both Los Angeles and all the people in it. 🌞
