Especially if the woman makes the same amount of money. Who pays? Who does this? Who is responsible for that? Constant struggle.

And I think the psychology on both sides is the same as age gaps where it older man with a younger woman. The older partner typically gets: ~ Youth and beauty from their younger partner. ~ Vigour/vitality and enthusiasm. ~ The opportunity to nurture, mentor or otherwise support their partner. ~ A boost to their vanity. ~ They feel younger and more alive. ~ A partner not yet damaged or cynical from the world (or less so). The younger partner typically gets: ~ A Daddy/Mommy figure that they crave. ~ The benefit of their older partners life exlerience or maturity. ~ Nurturing, mentoring or support from their older partner. ~ Access usually at least to some extent to their older partners resources whether that is financially, via gifts, or social capital/connections. ~ Greater loyalty and balance.

Will you look at that. All of a sudden, age gaps are appropriate when older women want to entertain younger men. This is why I unapologetically date younger women no matter what people have to say about it.

The age gap debate is tough. Tough to make a solid moral case against older guys dating younger women. If I were 42, single, rich, and in shape, I’d probably be going for girls in their 20s. But if I had a daughter in her 20s dating a 42-year-old, I’d lose my mind. Double standard?
