Wat ze niet vertelt: dat “beschieten” was een balletjespistool. Geen vuurwapen, geen kogels, speelgoed. Een minister die pleit voor scherpschieten door de politie, gebaseerd op een nepwapen. Dat is geen daadkracht, dat is paniekvoetbal op basis van haar rechts-extreme agenda. Wat mij betreft maakt dit Keijzer gevaarlijk voor de Nederlandse burger en politiek onwaardig.

Het Joodse leven is een onlosmakelijk onderdeel van de Nederlandse geschiedenis, identiteit en cultuur. Het is belangrijk dat er ruimte is en blijft voor de veelzijdigheid van de Joodse identiteit, zowel cultureel als religieus. Daarom houdt de veiligheid van de Joodse gemeenschap onze nadrukkelijke en blijvende aandacht. Vanmiddag sprak ik met vertegenwoordigers van de Joodse gemeenschap over wat het Joodse leven voor hen betekent en hoe zij hier op verschillende manieren uiting aan geven. Zij vertelden mij hoe zij zich inzetten om het Joodse leven in Nederland onder de aandacht te brengen en te zorgen dat de Joodse identiteit behouden blijft, ook richting de toekomst. Goede voorlichting over de holocaust is hierbij essentieel. Ook benadrukten zij het belang van de aanpak van antisemitisme. Hier zal het kabinet zich ook hard voor blijven maken. Want voor antisemitisme is geen plek in Nederland.
