Recovery doesn't actually mean stopping an addiction. Recovery means getting back something lost or stolen. So technically all of us on the spiritual path are in recovery. Of who we really are, and what we're really here for.

Huge shout out to @WestJet today. Our other main airline often cancels w/o apology. Today WestJet had crew issues, then maintenance & instead of cancelling pulled another plane AND pilot & got us home within an hr of original time! Let’s support this AMAZING 🇨🇦 airline & FLY!!

The word “Repent!” Is not a word I liked. I shuddered as if said with harsh judgement. Then I had to face my own deep shame. And I realized the opportunity- to repent is actually a solution. “There’s hope! Turn from what you know isn’t working! Heaven is closer than you think 🤍

The goal isn’t the absence of pain. Although humans spend a great deal of effort trying to achieve this. The goal is to fulfill the mission that only you can do. And to become who you’re designed to be through that process. Even Jesus had to grow up into Himself.

Yes the body remembers trauma. It also remembers joyful experiences too :) What song brings back the best memories to your body? (my teenage bff and I are sending mid 90s clubbing songs back & forth rn :)

@n64josh I am so sorry for you & your son. This world is a brutal place. He looks like such a kind soul. If you need a connection to a parents group who’ve lost children, I know of a wonderful al anon group that meets Tuesday evenings. Few can understand the pain like they can.

This was the hardest weekend of my life. My son lost the battle with his demons. I am broken. I know a lot of the gaming community knew him and loved him.

You’ve given Enough. You’ve said Enough. You’ve loved Enough. Everything about you is more than just Enough. The Universe is generous that way.

@BrianBParenting Yes. And- there is something particular about people that identify with this belief system. It seems like it can be weaponized as a justification for judgement & emotional abuse, or it can compel people to radical acts of selflessness. Feels like it is more than just humanness.

If I look back, in some of my darkest times, the people that hurt me the most were those who identified as Christians. And when I continue to reflect on those darkest times, those that carried me, every inch of the way when it was impossible to carry myself - Christians.

@Masterlocke777 Yes, it depends on each follower. Some still feel called to identify as Christian similar to Rob Bell encouraging reclaiming word- evangelical. Others have to define leaving something for themselves and/or don’t want to trigger others. The only trap is if it’s the new “right” way

@jennwatts I am seeing a defining difference in following Jesus vs being a “Christian”. I don’t identify with the latter anymore. It has too many variables but following Jesus = love in a most deep sacrificial sense.

Christianity can be a place for darkness to hide and it is also a significant Channel of Light. I don’t want to imagine what would happen if the world suddenly lost all of the Christians.

Your life doesn’t have to be one big I’m Sorry. Not to God or to anyone else. Another perspective if you really look at it is this - Wow. We did it.

“Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone’s face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? These are the real questions.” ~Henri Nouwen
