@AllisonPearson Countries don’t provide swift medical care, companies do. Privatise the NHS and introduce competition if you want results to improve.

A country that cannot provide swift medical care for its people is broken. A country where thousands die prematurely awaiting hospital care is broken. A country in the Bottom Two of survival rates for common cancers in the developed world is broken. A country where the target for the time between cancer diagnosis and starting treatment is the highest in Europe - and we still don’t hit it - is broken. A country where state of the art drugs and treatment are unaffordable is broken. A country with grossly unsafe maternity care where the NHS pays out billions to babies they have either killed or damaged for life is broken. A country where my mother’s elderly neighbour waited 17 hours lying on the floor for an ambulance - and died - is broken. A country where six hours bleeding or vomiting in A&E is the norm is broken. A country where Corridor Care is a thing is broken. A country where you have to call at 8am to compete to see a doctor maybe in three weeks time and not even in person is broken. A country where millions of people accept all of the misery and pain and discomfort and danger described above as just what we have to put up with is broken. Britain is Broken.

🚨Updated NICE Guidance for managing iron deficiency anaemia due to heavy #periods. This applies to ALL age groups that are still having periods. If you are feeling dizzy, lightheaded, breathless, exhausted with your periods 🩸then you must be checked for iron deficiency anaemia. This is done by having a FBC, B12, Ferritin, Transferrin and Iron levels. We have the updated NICE Guidelines- that say EVEN if the haemoglobin (HB) is normal IF the ferritin is below 30-70ug/L with a low Transferrin Saturation (TSAT) (<20%) this indicates iron depletion/deficiency and MUST be treated with prescribed oral iron supplementation. After 6-8weeks of oral Iron, a repeat blood test is needed. If the compliance, side effects of the oral iron supplements is not tolerated or that the ferritin is not improving - request iron transfusion as well as manage the underlying cause of the heavy periods NICE: Anaemia - iron deficiency: Changes: Last revised in October 2025 🔗 cks.nice.org.uk/topics/anaemia…

Labour continue to betray Brexit. They have consistently undermined the result of the 2016 referendum and remain obsessed with dragging Britain back under the control of Brussels. Now they are throwing away billions of pounds of hard-pressed taxpayers’ money on rejoining Erasmus, instead of taking advantage of our Brexit freedoms to support trade with the rest of the world, boost investment, and drive economic growth. Labour are not fit to govern Britain. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…

Hi, some personal news - I’m changing job. I recently asked myself the question: what’s the most exciting and promising company in the world right now? The answer I believe is OpenAI. So it’s a privilege to be going to work for OpenAI as managing director and head of OpenAI for countries, based here in London. In my conversations with Sam Altman, Brad Lightcap, and other senior colleagues, it’s clear they are exceptionally impressive leaders and that they care very deeply about their mission to ensure the power of artificial intelligence is developed responsibly, and the benefits are felt by all. That’s exactly what the OpenAI for Countries initiative intends to achieve, helping societies around the world share the opportunity this powerful technology brings. Am honorored to join the team.

🧬 “Cancer leaves clues — and biomarkers help us find them early.” Cancer biomarkers are special substances that can be found in blood, urine, or tissues. They act like warning signals, helping doctors to detect, monitor, and follow up certain cancers. Biomarkers alone can’t confirm cancer, but they give important clues that guide further tests and treatment. ✨ Common Cancer Biomarkers and Their Uses: 🔸 Thyroid: CEA, Thyroglobulin → used to check for recurrence after treatment. 🔸 Lung: CEA, CA-125, Cyfra 21-1 → help in detection and follow-up. 🔸 Breast (female): CEA, CA 15-3 → often used to monitor response to treatment. 🔸 Liver/Bile Duct: CEA, AFP, CA 19-9 → AFP is key for liver cancer, CA 19-9 for bile duct cancers. 🔸 Oesophagus: CEA, CSS → may help in detecting progression. 🔸 Stomach & Pancreas: CEA, CA 19-9, CA 72-4 → commonly checked in pancreatic and gastric cancers. 🔸 Colorectal: CEA, CA 19-9, M2-PK → especially useful in follow-up after treatment. 🔸 Ovaries (female): CA-125, CA 72-4 → CA-125 is one of the most widely used tumor markers in gynecology. 🔸 Uterus (female): CEA, CA-125, SCC → useful in tracking disease activity. 🔸 Prostate (male): PSA, FPSA & ratio → PSA is a key marker for early detection and monitoring. 🔸 Testicle (male): AFP, β-hCG → very important in diagnosis and monitoring. 🔸 Bone metastasis: CEA → may indicate cancer spread to bone. 🩺 Important Note: •High biomarker levels don’t always mean cancer — they guide doctors to do more tests. •These tests help with early detection and monitoring during treatment. •Early action and regular checkups can save lives. 🌿 Awareness leads to early detection. Let’s spread the knowledge and fight cancer together. 💪✨

A comprehensive overview of Rhabdomyolysis. *The classic triad of symptoms (seen in less than 10% of cases) includes myalgia (muscle pain), weakness, and myoglobinuria (tea-colored urine). *A key diagnostic indicator is an elevated creatine kinase (CK) level, which can be more than five times the upper limit of normal. *The condition can lead to severe complications, including acute kidney injury. @DharSaty
