Meta-analysis: Induction of labor at 39 weeks' gestation was associated with 37% lower risk of perineal injury, but a 22% higher risk of shoulder dystocia in nulliparous women. @RoxanneHastie @PerinatalEpi ja.ma/44TqcSu
So proud of PhD student @aroddymitchell with her first-author publication in @JAMAPsych today! In a meta-analysis of 589 studies, she found that 1 in 4 women in LMICs experience perinatal depression – highlighting the importance of mental health resources in these regions.
