#OSSTF supports improvements to teacher education, including stronger practicum experiences. But attracting new teachers is only part of the solution. Keeping them is the real challenge. Ontario has tens of thousands of qualified teachers not in classrooms and too many new teachers leaving within five years. Retaining teachers means improving working conditions and ensuring schools are properly supported. That’s what students need.

Agreed. If there's one consistent thing I've concluded since I first learned of pro rep in high school, it's that we just need to do it. Most places that have pro rep didn't achieve implementation through CA's. We've had several in Canada recommend. Time to make it happen already
