Each time I go in roundabouts to sort this out as councils don't understand this process. I cannot vote in my local elections (or EU elections) either of course, so it's not like I have transferred that right.

As a UK citizen who doesn't reside in the UK, I have voting rights for 15 years. However, I get kicked off the electoral register every 6 months, sent a letter, and have to reapply each time.

@CharlotteIvers Love this; we have v similar taste in podcasts! Don’t know if you’ve tried these but I loved the 2 Jon Ronson podcasts (Last Days Of August & Butterfly Effect), also The Dream, about MLMs & wellness is ace. Finally I’d recommend Once Upon A Time in the Valley - about Traci Lords.
