If Karmelo Anthony was truly the aggressor, why has the video not been released to the public? A clear video could answer many questions, address public skepticism, and either confirm or challenge competing narratives. In a case that has generated intense public debate, transparency would go a long way toward restoring confidence and allowing people to evaluate the facts for themselves.

@In_Case_Im_Fake @Oyinkansol73072 It makes you uncomfortable because you know it’s true. It’s not race baiting when it’s real life scenarios.

As I continue reviewing the trial testimony, I believe the Karmelo Anthony case has a strong chance of being overturned on appeal. The issue of ineffective assistance of counsel cannot be ignored.
What is most striking is the defense's failure to object to numerous questionable and potentially improper questions posed by the prosecutor to several young witnesses. Defense counsel had a duty to zealously protect his client's constitutional rights at every stage of the proceedings. If those failures affected the fairness of the trial, appellate courts will likely take a very close look at the conviction. #BuckleUp

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation issued a statewide Blue Alert naming an innocent 19-year-old as a wanted suspect in connection with a Covington County deputy shooting. They were wrong.
This young man never left his city. He had nothing to do with this incident. Yet his name and description were sent to every phone across the state, branding him a dangerous criminal before a single fact was verified.
After he explained his whereabouts and provided his alibi, investigators cleared him and he was released. The Covington County Sheriff’s department confirmed this was a case of mistaken identity. But the damage to his name, his reputation, and his family’s peace of mind cannot be undone with a simple retraction.
This is not a minor administrative error. When law enforcement moves this recklessly, innocent people get hurt. Or worse, they don’t make it home.
Accountability is not optional. It is owed.

On this day in 1963, civil rights leader and organizer #MedgarEvers was assassinated by a white supremacist in the driveway of his home. We remember his legacy and honor his family, including his wife, #MyrlieEversWilliams, who was a dear friend of our founder, #CorettaScottKing.
