@LGMknicksfan @NYJetsTFMedia @2 No, he shouldn't. Reese can play DE in a 4-3, OLB in a 3-4, and off-ball LB in either. Bain cannot. That matters.
English
@NYJetsTFMedia I have been saying for months, Reuben Bain should be the pick @2 for the Jets. I don't care if they play a 3-4, 4-3, 5-6, 6-7 or whatever other defense it is. The dude is legit.
English

I originally wanted Rueben Bain Jr more, but many pointed out Arvell Reese was the freak athlete, had Micah Parsons-like potential, & is better for the 3-4 as a DE & LB
What are we thinking at 2nd overall #Jets fans, & why❓

English

@NYJetsTFMedia If Bain had longer arms he would be a lock at 2

Here's a look at the difference between a swing and miss at all the different spots the Jets currently hold. The top is the contract currently projected by @Jason_OTC, and the bottom is converting the P5 salaries to the minimum for years 2-4 and spreading the difference over the signing bonus.

I can’t believe a Pro Day workout has caused this much drama in the Jets fanbase. Film is king and using a bag drill to prove/disprove your point about a prospect is hilariously moronic.
If you don’t like a player, fine, but trying to justify it by using a non-padded workout says more about your analysis than it does the player.
English

This number means absolutely nothing. There are only 23 players currently signed through next season that we can reasonably expect to be on the roster Week 1 in 2027. Plus, we have no idea how much the Jets will carry over or how much of an adjustment they will get in total.
There are 13 players that are signed through next season that will be cut during camp this season that are counting now, and there are void years next year that can become real ones if extended before the contract voids.
It's way too early to be looking at next year's cap space. It's basically irrelevant at this point.
Joe Schad@schadjoe
2027 estimated salary cap space 1. Cardinals $173.8 million 2. Jets $150.8 million 3. Dolphins $147.4 million 4. Chargers $142.6 million 5. Rams $132.9 million Via Spotrac

@OmariiBrown It would be kinda funny if they ended up with Reese Tyson and Simpson for the simple reason if you did a mock in early November they very well have gone 1/2/3 in many mocks 😂😂

Lord, I’ve seen what you’ve done for other fanbases. 🙏🏾 🤲🏾

@WormBurner44 @MySportsUpdate A) CBA don’t always favor owners.
B) Prove me wrong in this particular case. Oh, wait, you can’t, because the last one wasn’t publicly available. Therefore, you can’t definitive prove your side.
English

@MySportsUpdate Make no mistake, the NFL is a bully. They are trying to get networks to renegotiate early, they are strong arming the refs & the CBA ALWAYS favors the owners. The NFL makes billions, but nickel & dimes the supporting cast.
English

The NFL Referees Association has released the following statement that negotiations toward a new CBA broke down after less than half a day, citing a lack of commitment from the NFL and claiming no one present was authorized to move beyond the league’s original proposal.
Simply put: Talks aren’t in a good place.

@Majorleaguemadd May I jump in this, even though I’m not a Yankees fan?

I'd like to piggyback off of what @lindsay_rhodes said in the replies, and give a variation of her take (found in the replies). Comparing podcasting to writing is like comparing apples to oranges in this case.
It's like going to the gym. You can't really compare the workouts, because many of them workout different muscles and have different purposes.
When you're writing, the words matter to a much greater degree than in podcasting. What I mean is that you must be very precise in what you deliver to the audience.
In podcasting, it's not just the words that matter. It's how you convey the words, because words on a page can't give the same sort of tone that words in a podcast can.
In both, context matters, but in one the substance matters the most, and in the other, the substance and the way it's delivered matters.
So, while, on the surface, it may appear to you that they "get worse", the truth is that you're not comparing equal things. So, are they really "getting worse", or are they conveying it differently, because they have to?

Hot take: Most sports journalists get worse at analysis when they stop writing and go full podcast/video mode. And it makes sense why. Writing forces you to slow down and organize your thoughts. Writing is where you pressure-test your ideas. Podcasts let you just… say stuff.

Alt perspective:
Podcasting allows you more space and time to exchange more ideas… play with your thoughts… bounce them off others… “search” for others opinions.
The structure and craft of (good) writing requires a great deal of time to be spent on fine tuning the structure and craft, leaving less time to let ideas breathe, to be less married to absolutes and to welcome “how should we think” discourse.
I have found that the back and forth in the more casual space of podcasting has done more for my own knowledge intake and fine tuning of thought direction than I had in more structured formats.
Pros AND cons exist in this conversation IMO. And I don’t necessarily agree that “analysis” gets worse.
English

@thatssochrista_ Why are you accepting it like it's a bad thing?
English

Let's not draft Ty Simpson. He's going to fail in the NFL.
Leger Douzable@LegerDouzable
How would Jets Nation feel about a combination of David Bailey, Ty Simpson, and Chris Brazzell with their first 3 picks?
