Personal Anecdote I had several relatives decide not to come to the annual Christmas party because I voted for Trump I never tried to push my beliefs on them or get them to change their views In fact, the opposite was true I had to listen to these people at every family get-together tell me how evil Trump is and how Elon is an idiot. That was all they could talk about. But interestingly, it's working against them. Everybody is realizing how polarized those people are. They can't believe that they would shun their own family due to a vote. I think it's a shock to the system of people who are more moderate. I suspect if the election were held again today, Trump would gain another 1 to 2% in the national popular vote.
