One of my least favourite types of signings is when a big club signs a backup player from another big club and expects him to become their starter. The Rodrygos and Barcolas of this world, it rarely works out. There’s usually a reason they’re backups. Sánchez was the exception, and even that was understandable because he was competing with generational players for a starting spot.

@grok @Catheri16757657 @Chesschick01 @grok please explain to me how politicians like Bernie Sanders, Ilhan Omar, Elizabeth Warren, and Nancy Pelosi are millionared while they legally earn less than 300k a year or whatever.

Quantifying jobs created by "socialists" without government involvement is difficult. Socialist models historically relied on state ownership and central planning for most employment. Private sector jobs like those at Tesla (~135k employees) and SpaceX (~22k) come from entrepreneurs scaling companies in competitive markets through innovation and voluntary exchange. Businesses, not ideologies, drive that kind of direct private job creation.

Tesla directly employs ~135,000 people. SpaceX ~22,000. X ~3,000. Other ventures add more. Total direct jobs across his companies: over 160,000. Indirect jobs through Tesla's global supply chain and ecosystem support hundreds of thousands more in manufacturing, materials, and services. Exact numbers vary by study but the impact is large.

Elon Musk succeeded due to taxpayer subsidies and government contracts. He should be paying significantly higher taxes, but instead, he used his influence to gut USAID, resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths, and uses his wealth to buy elections to push policies that benefit him and screw over the rest of us. STFU.

This is what Berta showed us last year, he spends smart (34.5m is nothing) that’s why we won the league, Liverpool did the indulgent thing and was nowhere near us. Berta has earned the right to be trusted, he delivered the PL. Know nothing about this lad but i trust Berta over anyone.

🚨 Arsenal are exploring a deal to sign Christos Tzolis (24) from Club Brugge. Sources believe a deal could be possible for around £34.5m. 🕵️‍♂️🇬🇷 [@David_Ornstein]

Funny how the ‘project’ everyone laughed at is now the blueprint every club is trying to copy. Arsenal didn’t just win the league we changed the sport.

@MooreRMCF Saliba + €60m is unrealistic. Arsenal aren’t letting Saliba go and Saliba doesn’t want to leave. Calafiori + €50m is more realistic.

Vini Jr situation is understandable; imagine carrying a club for years, winning and scoring in 2 UCL finals only for your president to bring and prioritize a new shiny toy who has never done anything over you. Just do a swap deal with Arsenal for Saliba + €60m.

This is wild. And it's exactly why SpaceX IPOs in 3 days. SpaceX just unveiled AI1: one computer rack strapped to a 230-foot solar wing, with a plan to fly a million of them. On its face it reads as a satellite reveal. Read the timing and it's a pitch deck. The company prices June 11 at a $1.75 trillion valuation, raising $75 billion, already two times oversubscribed. Rockets and Starlink don't get you to $1.75T. Orbital AI compute might. Here's the bridge. That 150 kW is roughly a single NVIDIA GB300 rack, nothing special sitting on the ground. The spec that actually matters is 70 kW per ton. On Earth, the constraint on AI is power. You build next to a substation and wait years in an interconnection queue for the utility to hang enough transformers. The megawatts are the bottleneck, not the chips. At 600 km that goes away. Sunlight is constant and free, the 230-foot wing is the power plant, and it ships attached to the rack. The only new problem is heat, which is why the thing is almost entirely panel. So the whole bet collapses to one number that has nothing to do with AI: the cost of putting a kilogram into orbit. Get Starship cheap enough and a watt of solar compute in space underprices a watt trapped behind a transformer queue on the ground. That's the story they're selling 3 days before pricing: they own the only rocket cheap enough to turn free sunlight into the cheapest compute on Earth, and nobody else can copy it. A million satellites is 150 gigawatts of compute that never touches a power grid. That's the actual IPO.

@BoomSakaSaka @UPYOURARSENAL04 I agree lol, it would only make sense to go for him if it’s a loan and both Trossard and Martinelli leave while we get an elite LW

@jfl0403 @UPYOURARSENAL04 The risk you 100% are not getting an elite LW, and are wasting the window. Why on earth are people salivating over a 27 year-old (soon) who hasn’t cleared double digit league goals or assists in the last three seasons? Move on. He didn’t pan out. Let it go.

@cheekymacio There's a pathway for Jeremy to get senior mins there, unless the decision is made to send him out on loan, so it's likely to be one or the other. A lot will also depend on what happens with Trossard and Martinelli this summer

❗️As of last summer, Rodrygo was Arsenal's no.1 priority for the inverted LW role, but the financial package proved difficult to align. Fast forward to this summer and Morgan Rogers has moved to the top of the list. Arteta has always had a preference for proven premier league talent when available. A close second is Bradley Barcola. Andrea Berta absolutely love the profile; explosive pace, elite ceiling and a player Arteta rates highly. The issue? PSG are doing everything they can to keep him. Expect a long summer. But if you're an Arsenal fan, it could also be a very exciting one 👀

People don’t understand politics. Perez called this election for one reason, timing. If he had waited until 2027, he would have been walking into a fight he might not win. For Riquelme to pull about 35% now, without having years to build a stronger campaign, tells you everything. Give him another year, give him more visibility, more allies, more dissatisfied voters, and that number could have become a winning number. That’s how politics work. Perez saw the trend before everyone else did. The smartest politicians don’t wait for the storm to arrive, they move before the clouds fully gather. By calling the election early, he forced Riquelme to fight before he was truly ready. He didn’t just win an election, he interrupted a movement. Momentum in politics is everything, and once it’s broken, rebuilding it is never guaranteed. That’s why the result is bigger than the percentage itself. Perez didn’t just secure another term, he just prevent the emergence of the only challenger capable of seriously threatening his hold on power. Smart political play, no wonder he’s the Greatest modern Club President.

Forget 'Set Piece FC', Arsenal have won the title without '115 charges' lurking in the margins like Man City, without buying their own women's team like Chelsea, without petro-dollars behind them. That should be celebrated, writes IAN HERBERT
