@money_cruncher If you are relying on maybe $75 back a month on buying a little groceries, gas, and junk by chasing promotions then just say you po! Lol. 😂
Dave Ramsey says that credit cards are a scam.
But I get 9% cash back on groceries (Venmo promotion for 6mo), 5% back on Gas (Costco Citi), 5% back on Amazon, 3% back on everything else (Venmo promotion)
That's literally free money.
Be responsible and use credit cards.
Stopped into a @FiveGuys in South Austin. Hadn’t been in years. Food was ok. Restaurant was nearly empty.
Wonder if $17 for a small meal is a bit too much for most fast food eaters?
If I want to "play" golf I ride.
If I want to compete I walk.
I have yet to figure out a way to really lock in riding and it happens naturally walking.
@jeremyct Ya’ll mfckers need to put the money n and leave it! No loans, just do up to the company match and don’t touch it. I still work with people in their 40’s that have the attitude that they want all of their money now. They don’t have shit to show for it!
new 401k numbers just dropped.
median retirement savings by age:
18–24: $2k
25–34: $15k
35–44: $42k
45–54: $70k
55–64: $98k
65+: $94k
people are reaching retirement age with less than six figures saved.
that’s honestly depressing 😕
@BLouu I suppose you never had your face planted up against the cabin ceiling before. I have witnessed it and it looked painful but the dude just went limp and moaned afterwards!
@luxemiaa I guess I need to turn up my sarcasm meter. I'm sorry guys, I thought I was making a joke; apparently, I failed. My wife asked me "what are you doing for me for Mother's Day?" a few years back and I answered: "nothing, you ain't my mom." We laughed about it.
I hope my husband had a very uncomfortable day at work today.
I hope all of his female coworkers asked what he did for me for Mother’s Day.
And I hope he had to tell them the truth.
Nothing.
No flowers.
No card.
No breakfast.
No last-minute grocery store bouquet grabbed on the way home.
Nothing at all.
Meanwhile, I am the mother of his children. The same children I carried, delivered, and continue to keep alive on a daily basis.
I didn’t even want anything extravagant. A handwritten card, a cup of coffee, or somebody else loading the dishwasher would have been enough.
Instead, the day came and went like it was a random Tuesday.
The most impressive part is that he genuinely seemed surprised when I was hurt.
So yes, I hope he was standing in the.......
This man breaks down GM’s big announcement: starting with new models and fully rolling out by 2028, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac will phase out Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
He notes that it looks like every manufacturer is going to go this same route. Instead, you’ll have to pay a monthly subscription fee just to use basic dashboard features like navigation, texting, Spotify, or Apple Music in your own car — even after you’ve already paid for the vehicle.
This really hit home for me about how so many big companies are finding new ways to nickel-and-dime us with ongoing subscriptions for things we used to get for free. It makes me wonder — when the time comes, will I pay for their dashboard service, or will I just keep using my phone directly for navigation and music?
Have you seen this kind of shift with car manufacturers or other companies lately?
@ThrillaRilla369 This is easy. I have been working earning a W2 since I was 16 and not had one fast food joint job. I did apply at Hardees at 16 but he said I needed to be 18 to work a slicer or something.
Corporation: "We made $4B but spent $3.9B so we only owe taxes on $100M."
Government: "Totally reasonable."
You: "I made $60K but spent $58K on survival."
Government: "You owe taxes on $60K."
You: "That's not—"
Government: "File by May 15."
@europa396263942@TheEXECUTlONER_ You gotta wear long sleeves so your sweat does not evaporate. Stay out there an hour without hydration then it hits you like a rock. Wear one of those middle eastern robes that creates a breeze that blows up across your family jewels 😂! That works they say.
@TheEXECUTlONER_ I live in Texas with 90% humidity. Use to go to Vegas for College Football opening weekend and the temps were routinely 105-108. That's like 98 in Texas. I remember walking in front of Caesar's when it was 105 thinking this isn't that bad when there is 0 humidity.
This man is in Phoenix, Arizona visiting his daughter. It is 108* there!🥵
He noticed this unit on top of her house and wondered why it isn’t on the ground like most houses. He asked her and she said that was the way it was when they bought the house.
Why would this be on top of the roof? I’ve lived in 5 different states and never seen them on the roof.
And notice how big it is, it’s huge!
Why would they be on the roof? What’s the reasoning? And 108*?
Are people really digging a 108* weather? Could you handle that?
