Antonio Williams was not one of the wide receivers I had pegged in the Washington mix.
Williams is primarily a slot. With McCaffrey and Lane drafted by this group the last two years — it felt like they would go with an outside WR.

1) WSH has drafted just 2 WR's in the first round since 2001.
2) Last time WSH drafted a WR in top 10 was in 1995 (Michael Westbrook).
3) Team's only taken two WR's in Top 10 ever (Desmond Howard and Westbrook).

@grantpaulsen It's where the ball crosses the plate. Not where the catcher catches it. In this case it was in the strike zone at the front of the plate and dropped down out of the zone. Beautiful pitch. What's more shocking to me is that the batter laid off the pitch.

The narrative was that he was gone. He’s gonna get paid! Wait till you see the bag he gets! Peters could have tried to pay him a bunch to stay. Stood pat. Got him on a one-year deal that I’d bet isn’t anything like what we were told to expect.

Lots of thoughts on this Anthony Davis trade. A lot of really smart basketball people that I respect a lot do not like this for the Wiz. And I get it. If you just say, you're giving up multiple 1s for always injured Anthony Davis for a top of the draft team, that's curious. 1
