It’s been 4 months since my infant daughter died and someone told me a few days ago “it’s time to start moving on”. I know they are attempting to be nice and have no concept of holding joy and pain together but it’s been 4 months! I’m doing amazing for it being only 4 months!! Also, there never is “moving on”. It just doesn’t even make sense as a phrase. You never move on from your children.

Feeling a little bit broken. As many of you know Dad dropped dead 2 weeks ago when I was on holiday. I needed to see him to say goodbye in the chapel of rest. But the lovely funeral director has kindly advised that given the changes that happen with time, they only recommend I say goodbye to Dad with a closed coffin.

With a very heavy heart, I need to share that my husband, Mike, passed away suddenly yesterday. We will have a memorial service next week in Cary. Nothing is needed at this time except good thoughts and prayers please for the boys and me.
