@LePapillonBlu2 Here's a little March held by white supremacists in 1926 100 years ago. They are marching in formation to spell out the letters of their logo that start with K. That's Pennsylvania avenue in Washington DC which leads directly to the Capitol. From the Library of Congress archive.

Another sad and disturbing reminder that there are Americans who believe that it’s 1926 and not 2026. Racism should NOT be tolerated!

@SarahLongwell25 Didn't she allow access to the hard drives of voting machines? Was it around the same time that Elon Musk said "anything can be hacked" and if Trump lost he'd "go to jail"? Did her actions allow someone to engineer a hack to shift swing states toward Trump? Just asking questions.

@JesterJum As Yakov Smirnoff the famous Russian comedian once said "In America you watch TV. In Russia, TV watches YOU". Walmart bought Vizio so they could install their own monitoring software on cheap TVs. It will send them screenshots of what you are viewing and serve up ads accordingly.

While the price of virtually everything else skyrockets, the price of TVs remain weirdly low. Its almost like they don't want to price people out of the ability to be distracted, manipulated, and controlled. Anyone else notice that? Or is it just me?

@johnstrong_ham @Dr_Keefer In my experience the first CAD systems were reserved for the elite draftsmen. I got to look at it but not touch it. It was in an air-conditioned room with an IBM360 mainframe computer and a pen plotter the size of a pool table. CAD on PCs came along just a few years later.

I had an elderly patient in the ER the other day: lost his house, living out of his car, drinking more than he should.., in rough shape. I asked him what he used to do for a living. "Draftsman at Ontario Hydro." I probed further. Turns out his career included drawing up blueprints for every one of Ontario's nuclear power plants. I told him I was interested in nuclear power, which he interpreted as me being an anti. "Yeah, a lot of people don't like it" I clarified my position and thanked him for being a part of the great generation that helped to build the infrastructure that underpins our wealth and prosperity to this day. He looked surprised. His eyes lit up with pride and a sense of dignity which shone through his dishevelled appearance lying sick in an emergency room hospital bed. As my generation struggles to build megaprojects: light rail, subways and yes nuclear power plants, we owe a debt of gratitude to our parents and grandparents who so competently worked their fingers to the bone to provide us with the infrastructure that underlies our material comforts. The overhead lights in that hospital hallway, reflected in that man's eyes as we chatted about more than just his broken body, were the fruits of his labour. As a society we finally seem to have reached a political consensus that we should not be tearing down the industrial cathedrals that have been built for us by this great generation: edifices like our nuclear power plants at Pickering, Darlington and Bruce. The champions of that kind of vandalism have been decisively defeated. Im glad to have played my role in that battle. Now it is time for a reorientation towards gratitude and appreciation. It is time for us to take inspiration and pick up our tools to get building for our children and grandchildren so that they too may prosper. It was an honour to care for this man, this builder, this patient and bring a sense of pride and a smile back to his face.

@NancySinatra @LisaTra24691951 My mom used to be a telephone operator in St. Louis back when you had to take a cable and plug it into the right jack route the call to the recipient. She once handled a call from Frank Sinatra. That was her brush with fame. She took a lot of joy retelling that story.

When my dad passed away, our family was presented with an American flag by a messenger as a gift from President Bill Clinton. The message simply read, “From the President of the United States.” A Marine, resplendent in full dress uniform, carefully folded the flag and it was presented it to my brother.

@uTobian @AmberWoods100 I'm guessing the data centers are for predictive law enforcement where AI identifies a person as a criminal for a crime that has not yet been committed. I stole that idea from the TV series Person of Interest, with a sprinkling of Minority Report. You're welcome.

I assume they are building the 3,000 new AI data centers to enslave and kill us. I just haven't figured out HOW massive warehouses filled with computer servers will be used to do that. AI nanobot factories? AI drone factories? AI bioweapons labs? AI TikTok reels that hypnotize?

@jurgen_nauditt @sandibachom Trump's childlike behavior reminds me of a time in 6th grade when the kid next to me copied my test sheet. I was focused on the test & hadn't noticed. The teacher graded the papers & asked me "Why are there two test sheets with your name at the top?" That kid was dumb like Trump.

PROTECT ALL WILDLIFE@Protect_Wldlife·
Last week tourist Igor Lytvynchuk was seen throwing rocks at an endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal named Lani on a beach in Lahaina, Maui. The entire thing was caught on video. Within hours, millions of people had seen it. Stop for a second and really think about that. In an age where the internet forgets almost everything overnight, one act of cruelty against a protected animal triggered outrage across an entire state. When bystanders confronted the man, he reportedly responded with chilling arrogance: “I don’t care. I’m rich. Fine me with whatever you want.” Those words spread almost as fast as the footage itself. For many Hawaiians, it was not just about one tourist hurting one seal. It represented something deeper: disrespect toward the land, the wildlife, and the culture of the islands themselves. Then the story became even more surreal. A second video surfaced appearing to show the man getting beaten by locals shortly afterward on the street. Maui police later stated they had no record of any assault report connected to the incident. But public anger continued growing by the hour. Then Hawaii state senator Brenton Awa walked onto the floor of the state capitol and stunned the internet again. Standing beside his attorney, who clarified they did not condone violence, Awa announced that the local allegedly responsible for the beating would receive an official letter of recommendation from his office. He then called for airlines flying into Hawaii to show footage of the aftermath to tourists before landing as a warning about respecting Hawaiian wildlife and local culture. This was no longer just a viral animal cruelty story. It became a symbol of something much bigger: the collision between tourism entitlement and a community fiercely protective of what remains sacred to them. Hawaiian monk seals are protected under both the Marine Mammal Protection Act and the Endangered Species Act. There are only around 1,600 left in the world. That number alone explains why emotions exploded the way they did. The tourist now faces potential fines of up to $50,000 and criminal charges carrying up to five years in prison if federally prosecuted. And through all of this, Lani survived. That matters most. Because in the end, this stopped being about one man throwing a rock. It became about how far a community will go to defend something defenceless. 🌊🦭

BREAKING AP: When Kash Patel visited Hawaii last summer, the FBI took pains to note he was not on vacation. Left out of FBI's news releases was an exclusive excursion that Patel took days later when he participated in what government officials described as a "VIP snorkel" around the USS Arizona in an outing coordinated by the military.  apnews.com/article/fbi-ka…

“Inadequate PPE” is such a funny phrase when you break it down. “Hi, you have a ~40% chance of dying if infected and you’ll be quarantining with other potentially infected people. Option A filters maybe 40% of what you inhale, but it’s comfy. Option B filters 95%. Option C is essentially fully protective, but kinda annoying. Which would you like?” “Hmm. I’ll take the comfy one.” Humanity in one sentence.

NEW: I discovered that a second American woman jet-setted around the globe after leaving the MV Hondius in late April, traveling through at least four countries before attending an international conference in Vietnam. It's unclear if health authorities in the US are aware of the NYC resident's time on the ship or travels. Link below:
